Customer Review: recovering the lost data

In response to the reviewer D. Robev who unfortunately lost precious photos with this card, I had the same issue when using my Sony DSC-V1 with SanDisk 2GB MS Pro. I cannot be sure about the cause but I guess that it might be caused by the DSC-V1. What I like to share is: I was able to recover the lost photos by using the RescuePro software came with the SanDisk Extreme MS Pro card (discontinued, now is Extreme III). Should this happen, chances are that the file indexes are corrupted (in my case, by the DSC-V1 which has trouble writing to the large memory card, I believe). One should stop using the card in order to preserve the integrity of the photo files. Ask if anybody around you have the recovery software that provided by hi-grade memory cards like SanDisk Extreme series and Kingston Ultimate series. In most cases, it should have no problem in recovering the lost photos. By the way, when using the Sony MS Pro Duo 2GB on my Sony DSC-R1, the witting speed is as fast as the SanDisk Ultra II MS Pro Duo although it is not being advertised as a high-speed card. For this reason I gave it five stars. However, the Sony 4GB MS Pro Duo appears to be much slower than the 2GB card on my R1.
