As far as I'm concerned the only rechargeables that come close to these are the Powerex ones. These hold their charge both in the device and in storage for several weeks, where the Duracell and Energizer ones are useless if not straight from the charger. With these I can put them in the camera and come back after several weeks and still get a few hundred shots before I need to change them.
I don't plan on wasting any more money on either the Duracell or Energizer ones.

THese batteries have been great. This was the second pack I bought from Amazon. I have 1 set in my 430 Ex speedlight. They have been in there for about 3 months. I have taken hundreds of pictures (not all with flash, but quite a few) and have not needed to recharge them yet. The second set I bought are in my Wii controllers. I've used that set for about 1 month and haven't had to recharge them yet. I would highly recommend these batteries for high drain/use products.Customer Review: Excellent

Works great with just about anything I've tried them with. I currently have 16 of them and 24 of the AAA ones and along with the 15 minute charger they are simply great. I had my doubts after reading some reviews saying the did not hold their charge longer than a few days. Let me tell you that I have 6 of them on 3 Wii control remotes and the have lasted for up to 3 weeks with moderate gaming. Another example is, they last 2 weeks one my laser mouse with very heavy use.Customer Review: A must have for digital cameras

The Sony 2100 mAh AA's that I purchased a couple of years ago for a digital camera are still going strong, and the 2500 mAh AA's that I purchased for a new Canon PowerShot A640 have yet to wear out from the initial charge - shot over 500 pics so far (most without flash). Great product. Great value.

I've used these, Energizers, Duracells, etc. These have worked as well as any, and are often sold by Amazon at a very good price. Sony also makes a nice charger, the BCG-34HRMF4. When on sale, with 4 batteries, it's a great deal.
Be aware, though, that NiMH batteries all slowly lose their charge on the shelf, and will discharge in about a month or so, so don't use it for a device that sits around somewhere for long periods.
