Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 Compact Super Telephoto Zoom Lens for Sony Alpha Digital SLR CameraCustomer Review: Wow Summary: 5 Stars
This lens is way bigger than I thought is was going to be but, it is everything I was hoping it would be. Great zooming capabilities, fantastic picture quality. In one word, WOW. Sony has never let me down, I will continue to buy their products, they're worth every penny you spend for them. The camera I bought this lens for (Alpha 350 ) is teriffic also. Put the two together and I've got a great setup. Through Amazon, I got the lens quickly, packed well, and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg.Sigma 70-300mm F/4-5.6 DG Macro Telephoto Lens for Minolta and Sony SLR CamerasSony Alpha DSLRA350K 14.2MP Digital SLR Camera with Super SteadyShot Image Stabilization DT 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 Zoom Lens
Customer Review: Dy-no-mite cheapie! Summary: 5 Stars
Check out two images I captured (photo of a Marlin photograph and a desk clutter shot) that can be viewed in the product review image bank for this lens as they illustrate just how VERY well this cheap lens performs. No flash, hand held, tungsten lighting, oh my. Minimal photoshopping. Take a look.
I am amazed.
Stunned.
Sore from pinching myself.
I compare this $ 249 lens (on my Sony a55) to a Canon 70-200mm L-Series f/4 Image Stabilized Glass lens (on my Canon 5D Mark II) that cost me $ 1400 and by gosh... this Sony wonder holds its own!
Really!
I never ever thought this economy lens would be a long term keeper but after my initial testing, I know it's going to be well used in the rookeries, among other locations.
Buy this lens; it is underpriced, under appreciated, and I believe, eager to be an over achiever for you.
Customer Review: This lens opens a whole new dimension. Summary: 5 Stars
What a fun lens this is, and what wonderful new photos I can now take with my Sony A700! I have enjoyed my photography hobby since 1950 and have used all sorts of different camera formats and brands as well as dozens of lenses of all kinds. I have entered and won contests, and I have done exhibitions, so I am not completely an amateur in photography. I can say that this lens lives up to everything it claims it can do. The images are clear and in focus, even in the corners at full zoom. It works well in low light, and it is fast enough that I rarely need to use a tripod. It is just as easy to operate as any of the zoom lenses of my 35 mm film cameras. Great product. I'm going to have quite a bit of fun with this.
Customer Review: Great Item, Great Price Summary: 5 Stars
I am somewhere between a neophyte and an amateur photographer. I bought a Sony A200K as my first DSLR and love it but soon discovered the limitations of the lenses it came with. I consulted pros to see what my next lenses was going to be and this 75-300mm was it. Since I don't have a lot of bucks right now, I took a chance on a used one and this thing was in mint condition. But I was soon doing some incredible jaw-dropping shots from the time I got it attached to my camera, Close ups of flowers, Animals, and yes even bugs jumped right out with amazing clarity and color... Amazon, the seller and this lenses made me a professional photographer most of the time. I couldn't be happier.
Customer Review: Great Lens, Great Shipping Summary: 5 Stars
I don't have much to say. I'm quite new to the photography scene. I bought my first dSLR about 2 years ago. This was my first lens apart from the 18-70 mm that my a100 came with and I'm quite pleased. I found myself taking pictures of the night sky with the old lens and just wanted a closer shot of things so I bought the 75-300. I now have great shots of the moon and some constellations. I'll probably buy another lens in the future since this purchase has really opened my eyes to just what you can do with a variety of lenses. Also a great lens for amateur birdwatching and sporting events. Took it out to Dodger Stadium and got some great shots.
