My husband and I are so thrilled with the quality of this monitor. We have a 2 yr old little girl and a 8 week old baby girl. We have been using a Graco 2 channel monitor for our oldest since she was an infant and have had no problems minus a few static issues here and there. We just weren't comfortable not monitoring our 2 yr old at night still so we needed another monitor for our baby's room. We purchased a First Years monitor and returned it immediately! It had horrible interference with our Graco monitor not to mention it was very cheaply made. We looked into purchasing a digital montior vs. an analog (channel) one and we just could not see paying well into the $100's for a baby monitor w/ just one receiver. We finally settled on the Sony Baby Call and just prayed that it would work. Viola! it has been wonderful. We can put the Graco receiver and the Sony receiver next to one another and there is absolutely zero feedback. We live in a townhouse and we are in the center of the row and we don't not get any interfernce from cell phones, other monitors, etc...The Sony monitor has such a clear sound and an unbelievable mic on the base. I love the voice activation feature; my baby is such a noisy sleeper that I was not sleeping at all with her in our room. So when we moved her into her room I was nervous that the voice activator would not turn on when she cried however it picks up all her little grunts and groans w/o being so loud that I can't sleep. I would recommend this monitor to anyone, especially parents who have more than one kiddo and need to monitor both. I reseached baby monitors A LOT before buying. I didn't want to spend the money on a video monitor but all the reviews I could find for all monitors weren't that great. I bought several and took several back. I finally decided to try this one and I have been very happy. It's sturdy and works well. The battery life has been quite good. With the monitor I purchased for my son, the battery life would not last one night so I always had to keep it plugged in overnight, which ultimately runs your battery down faster. I have used this one for two full nights in a row unplugged and haven't had to recharge it. It picks up every noise my daughter makes. And I REALLY like the voice activated feature. I was very skeptical of it at first because I thought it wouldn't work as it is intended to. However, it works great. I am a very light sleeper and I wake up to EVERYTHING. This voice activation gives me a little more sleep. I have a house with very high ceilings and it is very open and it has worked well for us. When it is on the regular "on" function, there is not nearly the static of other monitors I have used. The only con is that that sound is a little weird. When my baby makes noises, it sounds kind of tinny or something but you don't mistake it. And I guess, who cares what it sounds like as long as you hear it.Customer Review: An absolute MUST for peace of mind!

I absolutely LOVE this monitor set! I have used it with my twin boys since birth. It is very sensitive to sound which is perfect for hearing baby. We use 'white noise' (a fan and vaccum cleaner noise CD) in the room they sleep in and it doesn't interfere with the signal or sound quality. I have dropped the monitor too many times to count and it still works perfect!! There is a range alarm on the monitor that tells you when you're getting out of range, but I've never had it alarm (signals with a beeping noise and red light). I've took the monitor to my neighbors house which is 40-50 ft away and it never alarmed. I like that it is rechargable and doesn't use batteries! Saves tons of money in the long run since we are constantly putting batteries in toys.
It has 3 setting on the side: Off, On, and voice activated. We only use the voice activated. It also comes with 3 channels if for some reason you do experience interference. Also there is a volume control that lets you turn it up if so needed.
I would HIGHLY recommend this product! We live in a very noisy household with t.v's, cell phones, microwave, etc.. and we have NEVER had a problem!! The sound quality is absolutely perfect as well... I can hear my baby turn over as well as when he sucks his pacifier! A must have with little ones!

Purchased this from EZ something or other. The shipping was very fast. Anyway, I can hear my baby's breathing with this monitor. And the volume isn't turned way up. The nursery is approx 10' x 10'. The transmitter is in a corner of the room diagonally opposite the crib where baby's head is. We have had it for 10.5 mths. Now he turns on his side and I can't hear the regular breathing but deep breaths do come across. There is no static.
We have a 2 story house so this works great. Have unplugged one monitor and forgotten to plug it back in for 24 hrs and the battery does not drain. Outside of the house, the range seems to be ~ 40ft or so. No interference with TV or cell or other devices. I have taken a receiver into the basement frequently and it works well there (while taking a shower). Transmitter is on the 2nd floor. Shower is on opposite side of the house ~ 26 ft away.
There is a voice activated mode so that if you have a fan or humidifier in the room, it filters out the background sound. I wanted to hear everything so haven't used that mode much. The regular mode did pick up a drip problem with a humidifier that wasn't seated correctly.
I love this monitor and it's one of the top baby products I've purchased if not the best.

We've been using this monitor for over two months now and we love it! I especially love the feature where you don't hear any sound at all until the baby starts making noises - so you don't have to sit and listen to static. We have wireless internet and several cordless phones and we've only had one problem with feedback - all we did was change the channel (there are lots of them) and now we have no issues at all.
We did buy the system with two monitors, but I think we would have been fine with the one monitor (less money.) We always end up just carrying one of the monitors around with us when we go into a another room or go outside. The battery lasts a long time.
The range on this is great. We have a three story house and we don't have any issues anywhere in the house. Sometimes when we go outside and there is a lot of house between where we are and where the baby is, we go out of range. But, we just set the monitor where it is in range and crank up the volume and we have no trouble hearing her. I would definitely recommend this product.
