Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony AA 2500 mAh Ni-MH Rechargeable Batteries In Slide Case (4-Pack)Customer Review: LONG-lasting Ni-MH rechargeables! Summary: 5 Stars
I do a lot of instrumental music recording and performing, and I use these Sony rechargeables EXCLUSIVELY in my gear, the most power-hungry of which are my Zoom H2 Handy Portable Stereo Recorder and my GigLight Compact LED Music Stand Light. I also use them in my Canon PowerShot A720IS 8MP Digital Camera with 6x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom when going "optical" rather than "audible."
I can EASILY record two hours of music on my H2 with two of these batteries at 44.1kHz, 16-bit. I have never even come close to their running out early, and I've never had the device quit because of a lack of power. And I have recharged these MANY times for MANY gigs.
Loading my GigLight with these, I have found I can run it OVERNIGHT -- even 24 hours! -- and not drain them completely.
Plus, the batteries last between 200-400 pictures in my Canon, depending on whether I'm using a lot of flash and whether or not I leave the AF on "continuous." I'm never short of power. It's amazing.
Charge time is very reasonable, and this handy carry-case (while the key ring is a bit ambitious) keeps my batteries together when I use the H2, which uses only 2, but keeps a spare pair at the ready if I need them.
These leave Alkis in the dust! HIGHLY recommended -- and that's high praise because I'm generally NOT a Sony fan. But I am a fan of these!
Customer Review: Good battery, great case! Summary: 5 Stars
I don't really understand why sony makes both this battery set as well as the standard blister pack, but I'm very glad they do. These are the same 2500 mAh as in the blister pack. My sister works manufacturing electronics devices, and looking at the specs for these batteries she was very impressed, and recommended them.
But what I really love about these batteries is the case. Rather than yet another annoying, painful, throw away blister pack, these come in a compact, reusable, handy holder. We hang on to these and use them for storage. If you take out half the batteries the case can compact be half as tall, rather than have them flop around in the bigger space. They come with a little foam spacer to put between the touching ends, which is a safety feature. My only issue there is the spacer is easily lost.
I only wish they made a AAA size in this case too, that would be sweet!
Customer Review: Re-usable Case for Re-usable Battery a big plus Summary: 5 Stars
Keeping track of my rechargeable batteries that aren't in my gadgets was always a problem. Where did I put it? Was this one already recharged or is it the one that was used up? The handy carrying case that comes with the batteries can do exactly what the batteries do - be used over and over again. I use the case to store the ones that I've recharged so they're always handy when I need them. The fact that this pack cost no more than the standard cardboard packaging made it that much better. Less waste and more usefullness makes this an A+ purchase if you're in the market for rechargeable batteries. PS - the batteries have all done their jobs perfectly - charging fully and holding the charge for the usage you'd expect from a rechargeable.
Customer Review: Superb and never die out batteries Summary: 5 Stars
These batteries are far stable and durable in long term use. I have owned non-brand name and Kodak rechargeable batteries. They are either unstable voltage output or die out much earlier than their publicized life-span. Sometimes one in pair die out then other remains(Not SONY). I can't use them for the digital camera power source because it requires delicate and stable voltage supply.
Those SONY batteries seemed not to go down voltage levels and when their charge are drained, the pair(2 batteries) go down together.
It's perfect use for an equipment that needs constant and stable power supply, like digital camera.
Customer Review: Oooh... batteries! Summary: 5 Stars
As rechargeable batteries go, these are some of the best I've used. I've been able to charge them and keep them in their case until needed (sometimes for more than a couple months) without any noticible discharge, and I haven't run in to any problems with them losing capacity.
The only unusual thing I've noticed is that they seem a bit snug in wireless Xbox 360 controllers, but they keep the controllers working for a really long time, so that's hardly a complaint.
Considering Amazon's price for these, the value is tough to beat!
