This Sony Charger is used for charging the NP-BG1 Battery, which is the lithium battery used in the Sony DSC- W Series (Cybershot), T20, T100, N2, N1, H7 and H9 models of Sony Digital Cameras. It will also work with a non-OEM battery.
The green LED lights up when you pop a battery in to be charged. An oddity documented in the manual states that after the LED light goes off, the battery continues to charge for another hour. It takes up to 4 hours from the point the battery is inserted in the charger to when the LED light goes off. Therefore, it can take up to 5 hours to fully charge a battery.
