Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony BDP-S1 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player

Customer Review: SONY wins AGAIN!!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Say what you want about HD DVD, Sony Blu-Ray wins hands down. I have both a Toshiba HD DVD player and a SONY BPS-S1 player. The only way to win this battle of the HD wars is to own both. You are now in a win win situation. No matter which way HD goes, if you want a crystal clear picture and great sound, you need both.

This crazy myth that either will go away or there will be a winner is a fantasy. To bet against SONY, you'd be better trying to nail Jello to a wall. Ain't gonna happen. The same applys for HD DVD. They to will stay in the mix. After watching many movies in both formats, The SONY Blu-Ray player is the clear winner in my opinion.

I've heard some reviewers say there is no difference in picture quality, I beg to differ. SONY has the edge. Even older movies recorded in Blu-Ray are beyond belief. Having both players lets you judge for yourself.

There was no gamble on SONY's part with Blu-Ray.

Now you may think that I'm pro SONY, and your right, I am. SONY HD televisions, players, and components are superior. Ive gone the route with other brands and learned my lesson. You get what you pay for. With SONY products, you not only get what you pay for, you get more.

For whatever reason, SONY technology is years ahead of their competition. Here are a few things to consider: See for yourself, take a look and compare. Remember that the TV you view programs on is very important. Theres HD and there is also outstanding HD. There's HD DVD and outstanding HD DVD. Be selective and buy products from reputable dealers. The TV must deliver in order to see the quality Blu-Ray has to offer.

Over time the HD Wars will subside and both medias will find their nitch. If you expect a clear winner, "Forget about It"!! The HD market is only starting and there will be more competition and greater choice. And after the smoke clears expect products like the SONY BPD-S1 and Toshiba products to remain in the mix.

SONY will always cross the finish line first, ask the Indy Colts quarterback, he knows!!
