Sony has done it again. Great Blu-Ray player with all the features you would expect for around $200 and its an early Christmas in my home time. My sister loves this model, which is one step up from the Sony I got for Christmas last year and $100 cheaper to boot!! When she found out it up-converts all her regular DVD's to 1080p she was amazed and I told her that with her HD LCD TV she got last year for Christmas that she only need one HDMI cable. I have not used my Sony Blu-ray Disc Player yet and I do plan on writing a review after it is hooked up and playing. This review is to tell everyone reading these reviews how quick I received my order. I ordered the set on the 6th of Jan and received it on the 8 of Jan. My wife told me UPS was in the driveway and I thought "Can't be any order I made, it's to soon" well to my surprise it was my Sony Blu-ray Disc Player. I have a PS3 and recently bought this blu-ray player. I love it. It loads just as fast if not faster than the PS3. The picture and sound quality is outstanding. I have played more dvds in it than blu-rays. I read a few reviews were people had problems with dvds, but mine has worked great. I have also watched dvds that I have burnt. I would suggest this player to anyone. For the money I don't think you can beat it.Customer Review: Excellent Sony Value

An excellent basic player with picture and sound quality found in $300 models. Loads blu ray discs within 12 seconds. Buyers with older t-v's (those without hdmi input)should know that upscale of standard DVD's to 1080p only works with hdmi output on the player. Sony is one of the few life time ownership companies, I had a Trinitron for 15 years.Sony backs its electronic products to the utmost degree. The blu-ray player as referenced above has provided me with hours of pleasurable viewing with a crisp almost 3D picture. There are more expensive units that offer different features but personally I think this entry from Sony is all most consumers need.
