Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony BDP-S500 1080p Blu-Ray Disc PlayerCustomer Review: Blu Summary: 5 Stars
I guess I would have to use to a magnifying glass and get real close to tell the difference between a Blu-Ray and HD-dvd. First I figure I'll let the movies decide....as in which format has the better films....yes films, not movies....there is no need to see Big Mama's House in high definition. Honestly...Do you really need to see all the hairs on Rattatoui's butt? I bought this and love this unit because of the underlying technology which can put more data on a platter than HD-DVD. AND, like the iPOD is not just a media player, there is that element of cool, elegant design with this Blu-ray unit that made both my 3 year old niece and 80 year old Mom go....wow, when the icy blue cover slides down and the disk tray slides out.
I give this player a big thumbs up, two blasts of phaser and a big clashing sound with my Darth Maul lightsaber.
