I wrote a previous One Star review which never appeared regarding my attempt to purchase the Sony 52 inch W Series HDTV. I ordered the TV at $1431.00, gave my credit card information and received a purchase confirmation and expected date of delivery. The very next day, like others, I received an email advising me that they had canceled my order, and referring me to their Policy section. Now I've noticed that this very same HDTV price remains stuck at the same price of $1649.00 without changing from day to day like it did before. I find that peculiar. Needless to say, I am extremely unhappy with Amazon.com and the way they've handled this so called error. BUYER'S BEWARE!Customer Review: Bait and switch

Been a dedicated Amazon shopper for years, now until.....
Ordered this set and Blue Ray package, on the web site for a good price, thought was a fair amount, not a crazy deal like a software malfunction that dropped the price of the TV dramatically.
Got an e-mail next morning stating that they canceled the order due to "incorrect pricing" of the TV, so I canceled the entire order.
If AMAZON PERSONEL are reviewing this/these opinions; FYI canceling a large order just for a few extra bucks and pissing off a dedicated shopper, in this economic environment, is a dumb thing to do.

THIS WAS AN EXPENSIVE TV AND WE EXPECTED IT TO LAST A FEW YEARS. LESS THAN 18 MOS FROM TIME IT WAS INSTALLED GOT WHITE HORIZONAL LINES WHICH ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN, VERY ANNOYING. OF COURSE 1 YR WARRANTY AND THEN YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN. DON'T EVEN CONSIDER THIS TV IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO BUY, WE WERE VERY CAREFUL, NEVER MOVED THE TV AFTER INSTALLATION, NO GAMES WERE PLAYED ON IT, AND TAKEN VERY GOOD CARE OF IT. SO DISGUSTED WITH THIS PRODUCT, $2000.00 TV SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN 18 MOS.Customer Review: The Heat is On!

Excellent picture quality 5/5 stars...makes most Blu-Ray movies look like it was recorded from digital camcorder. Games on my PS3 or XBox360 looks fantastic. Here's the big but...
Within an hr the tv is on...room starts getting hot. Its a noticeable source for heat...like a little furnace. On top of the TV gets real hot with heat blowing out of it and the whole tv feels hot...so if you're putting this in a non-circulatory entertainment room you will feel it.

Bought this tv and after 18 months the panel is going bad. Sony wants $2700.00 just for the part not including the labor. That is more that the TV cost and I could afford to buy 2 tv's for same cost as the panel. Stay away from this tv!!! Sony support will only offer a small dsicount which is still higher than the cost of a new tv.... Stay AWAY!!! If you are smart you will buy another tv and not this one. Sony support will be no help at all...
