I was debating b/w the LG and Sony but I decided to go with Sony b/c it's well known and been on the market for years. I'm glad I picked it b/c its pictures are unsurpassed. Very vivid, clear and high contrast. 120Hz motion flow is great. I hooked up with my HD direct TV/ DVR and broadcasted on 1080i, my goodness the pictures are awesome. I then hooked up to my blue-ray player and played it on 1080p and you have no idea how clear it is. It's almost like you're there, seeing it live, rather than on TV. It's that high-def and I'm so happy with it. Amazon shipped it w/i a week but the TV came with the broken bevel, I called customer service and no problem, they sent out a new one the next day and I received it 3 days later. The title says it all. I've seen this LCD in stores on display, and this model always stood out among the rest. I've now had the pleasure of watching tv on this very big screen for a few weeks now and I am most satisfied. Colors are great, 120hz refresh rate, syncs well with sony's bd550 blu ray player, one remote controls both. Blu ray is so sharp on this panel, I nearly had a tear running down my cheek the first time I watched a movie on it. Shipping was great and on time as scheduled. I have always been afraid of purchasing something this expensive online, but I am most satisfied with this purchase. I want to thank Amazon as well as I had an issue with the transaction and was resolved appropriately. I recommend this LCD to anyone within its budget. Purchased this Sony model through Amazon on 3/8 and it was delivered 3/12. Free white glove delivery ($60+ value)was prompt and efficient. The final comment by the delivery team was "this must be a popular tv because this is the third KDL-52W4100 delivered today", and it was only 8:15am! The picture quality is stunning. Connected to a Playstation 3, there is almost a three dimensional viewing effect. Even standard dvd's look exceptional upscaled through the PS3's HDMI connection. Standalone sound quality is fine but if you have a 5.1 system hook it up and enjoy. Finally the price, I purchased it @ $1,649. With the $30 credit using the Amazon Visa card, net price was $1,619. The cheapest price from BB and HHG was $1999. Adding sales tax difference, I saved over $500!Customer Review: wanted it, got it, happy with it

We saw this tv at sams club, and I knew right away we wanted it.The picture was the best we;ve seen,but the price was pretty high for us so we waited for a year and the price come down some.When, we were ready, we checked it out on line at different places.I asked my husband to check to see if Amazon had it and they did.This was not only the best purchase we made it was even better for the price.The difference was such that we also purchased a blue ray and receiver. I have had this TV for 8 or 9 months now. I received it as a house-warming gift from friends and family. I tell you what, it has been a wonderful thing so far. I've had no problems with it at all! The picture quality is outstanding when watching HD channels! It's pretty decent when watching non-HD channels as well but really great with the HD channels. The sound is terrific as well. My family and friends did a tremendous job in researching and picking out a TV for me and I cannot thank them enough! I totally recommend this set for anyone who is looking to buy an HDTV for themselves or like my wonderful family, for a present to for someone who totally was not expecting it nor feels they deserve such a thing.
