Customer Review: Great little gadget
Summary: 5 Stars

I looked at a lot of adapters online and read a lot of reviews before ordering this little dongle. I'm known as Inspector Gadget since I have so many. I've had it for several weeks now. This one I just love. It works well, it's easy to set up, the range is enough in my two floor apartment, even if I'm in the basement and it's on the second floor. In fact it leads to having to hunt for where I left it. I use the Sony DR BT21G stereo headset with it and the sound is unexpectedly good. One thing. I read that someone was annoyed by it pausing frequently then resuming play. I have two cell phones. One is the LG enV 2 and the other the Moto Q9c. If I have the headset paired with the LG and receive a call, the music is put on hold while I talk on the phone and resumes when I hang u; neat! But if I have it paired with the Moto Q9c, it's constantly interrupted for a few to many seconds every time the thing notifies that there's an email or goes out of service. I have to make sure that I disconnect the phones if I want to listen to music without interruption, especially the Moto Q. The headphones are great, too. There is volume adjustment, pause, ff and reverse or go to the beginning or end of a song. I highly recommend this product. It's easy to set up and use and the quality of sound is great. Also the built in battery prevents clutter and doesn't seem to drain the iPod much. BTW, it's a 30GB video iPod.

Customer Review: Tiny, functional, sounds great with my Sony Bluetooth Receiver
Summary: 5 Stars

The Good

- Tiny
- Draws power from the iPod; does not require its own battery
- Music remote control commands (previous track, next track, play, pause, fast forward, rewind) work flawlessly with my Apple iPod classic 160 GB and my Sony DRC-BT15 Bluetooth Receiver
- Sound is crystal-clear (requires a receiver that supports A2DP music transmission)

The Bad

- Cannot be used while the iPod is under external power, for example during charging (no pass-through dock connector)
- Does not fit inside any known iPod case (protection from being snapped off would be useful)

The Bottom Line

I walk a lot, and like to listen to music while walking. I wanted a wireless remote control/headphone solution so that I could leave my iPod in my backpack, carry a small remote control in my hand, and not have my headphones be tethered to my backpack.

I considered alternatives from Panasonic, JVC and MacSense, some of which were more expensive (considering the total price of the transmitter and the receiver), and some of which were a little less expensive. Sony's solution had the best specifications. I am very pleased with it.

Customer Review: Works great
Summary: 5 Stars

I spent a lot of time investigating iPod bluetooth transmitters and finally decided on this one. I couldn't be happier.

It is small compared to many of the other blue tooth transmitters I investigated, and has a firm connection with the iPod. Like the iPod USB cable you have to press a button to remove the transmitter from the iPod. No chance of this one becoming disconnected as it is jostled around in your pocket.

Pairing with a Nokia BH-503 headset worked great. I had to make sure the transmitter was paired before my phone, although I believe that was due to the headset, not the transmitter. Whenever I restarted the iPod and pressed play it reacquired the blue tooth connection (even if the iPod had shut down). Although it took a few seconds so if you are listening to an audio book you could miss a sentence or two.

Range was good. I left it in my bedroom and walked into another room (at least 25 ft) before I noticed a degradation in the signal. Although most of the time it was either sitting next to me or in my pocket.

Using the battery from the iPod did effect the battery life of my iPod a little, but not too bad. To me it is worth it not to have to charge yet another device.

Customer Review: Works great
Summary: 5 Stars

Not too much to say about this, really. It worked as I expected. Very easy to pair with the Jaybird stereo headset I bought to use it with. Pretty much plug-n-play. I plug it into my iPod Nano 5th Gen, hold down the button on the device and hold down the pairing button on the headset...in about 7 seconds, it goes into pairing mode and pairs effortlessly. I use primarily for jogging, so I haven't gotten too far away from the unit. I'd say the most I've been away from it is about 20 - 25 feet once (I had forgotten I set the iPod/unit on the counter rather than my pocket) and the signal held great until I got to that range. For jogging, it works great. It is a bit pricey, but I think the quality is great. I typically use it for around an hour at a time, so haven't noticed anything in regards to battery useage (it draws power from the iPod) - it seems to need very little and if you keep the iPod charged, shouldn't have a problem - at least I haven't had a problem. So, I gave it 5 stars: easy to use and delivers as promised. Plus, it's small size is great - I can still wear my iPod on my side when I jog and not even notice the small extension this device gives to the overall size...it's very small.

Customer Review: For the itouch
Summary: 5 Stars

If you have the itouch 2nd gen then you'll love this transmitter. I have the 32 gig unit and was worried that the transmitter would'nt work, half the folks on the web said that it would not, but I tried it anyway, I used the motorola S9 headset, the track controls, volume and pause worked with no problems. as for the range , I've walked all thru my home and garage with no interuptions. now all i need is a belt case that will work with the doggle sticking out , I could just cut a 1 inch slot in the one that I'm using now. to start the transmitter all I did was charge the headset, hold the pwr button to turn on paring mode then plugin the transmitter into my itouch and started the music. the transmitter started flashing fast, then slowed to a steady flashing. I could hear the music but it keep breaking up , I then pressed the connect button on the transmitter and the music flowed smoothly and all was good!.
