Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony Bluetooth Wireless Transmitter for iPod (Black)Customer Review: Sony Bluetooth Transmitter For iPod Touch 2G Summary: 5 Stars
We have several Apple portable audio devices, the latest being a new 32GB iPod Touch 2G. We also have a couple of Motorola D650 bluetooth transmitters made specifically for iPods, but they do not work the Touch 2G, Apple has changed the connector on the 2G, and it is no longer compatible with the older USB power adaptor cables, or some of the legacy iPod adaptor devices.
We tested the Sony bluetooth transmitter with our new Touch 2G, and it works flawlessly.
With all three of our different bluetooth headsets, Motorola brand, you can pause/play, and forward/reverse the playlist selections.
Curiously, we tested the Sony with two of our iPod Nano devices, one of them the new Chromatic version, and this bluetooth transmitter seems to draw less power from the iPod battery than the Motorola D650 bluetooth transmitter.
On average, the Sony is giving 1.5 to 2 hours more battery life to the iPod Nano player.
The form factor is also smaller for the Sony, versus the Motorola D650 adaptor.

i got a factory remanfacured one only issue i had was i lost the manual, or it did not come with it. either way its not a problem if ur reading this because saony had a acrobat version of the manual on the web sight. been testing it all day in work to doing my landuary i will have to charge my ipod every day now but i do this any way would have been nice to have it charge while charging the ipod but for 33 with expadataited shipping i can handle it and that is going on the side of nit picking. usally blue tooth and all wire less has problems going throught solid objects, like your body, so having it in a bad wouldf make it hard to here. well not for me i walked about a mile with it in a back backl with no problems. it does disconnect as well often but thats cuz it seems to have an auto shut off when your not pklaying music, can be annoying if your working but its good if you leave it alone and for get to turn off due to it draws from the ipod battery
sorry for the long review

Customer Review: Great Device especially for iphone / iphone 3g owners! Summary: 5 Stars
I can confirm that this device does work with the iphone / iphone 3g regardless of the incompatiablity message that appears when you plug it in.
I had some minor issues with getting everything working, but once you do, it rocks so much!
I followed the same instructions posted from a prior review but it didn't exactly work for me. I either had the call capability or music capability but not both.
I did this instead and then it worked for me:
1. Pair S9 with Iphone / Iphone 3g (as headset).
2. Pair S9 with Sony TMR adapter (as headphones).
3. Turn off Sony TMR adapter but do NOT unplug.
4. Unpair S9 from Iphone / Iphone 3g (as headset).
5. Pair S9 with Iphone / Iphone 3g (as headset).
This worked for me and now my S9s work both as stereo headphones and bluetooth headset.
The adapter works flawlessly and I have no complaints. The adapter allows me to enjoy my Iphone 3g the way I wanted to.
Customer Review: MP3 bluetooth transmitter solution to Home stereo audio receiver Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this and "Sony Portable Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiver HWSBTA2W". This allows me to tranmit audio from my iPod and receive using the HWSBTA2W connected to my home audio receiver. So, you can sit anywhere in the room and listen to your iPod on your home stereo. This is not a good solution if you want to transmit from one room to another room. It is excellent if you want to transmit from one room to the same room. Sound is excellent. Also, the transmitter is powered by the iPod which is very handy. Another consideration is that the transmitter uses the iPod's line-out, so you do not control the Volume from the ipod.
Also, you could just buy 2 of the HWSBTA2W's set one as a transmitter and one as a receiver. Use the one that is transmitting to tranmsit audio from anything with a Headphone jack (computer, ipod, mp3 players, etc). However, this device requires power from a wall jack as there is no battery. Sound quality is excellent.
Customer Review: Well Designed Summary: 5 Stars
The size is very nice if you carry your ipod in your pocket like me (it's about the size of 2-3 stacked quarters). You never have to worry about it dying, and the sound has been perfect.
As with ANY bluetooth transmitter, having it in your pocket while walking/standing around may break the signal on and off. I had identical performance in that aspect to my last 2 cell phones with my Motorola S9 headphones. If you're going to be on your feet awhile, just drop your ipod in your back pocket instead of the front (this works far better for the S9's where the receiver rests on the back of your neck).
The only downside, if you're reeeeally looking for something bad, is that you have to pair it with your headphones every time you use it, which takes 10-15 seconds.
Using an ipod touch 2nd gen, so YES, it does work with the newer connector requirement.
Definitely a buy I won't be regretting
