Customer Review: Great Bluetooth Addition for your ipod
Summary: 5 Stars

I was a little confused with all the products that were available in the market to do this job, (Enable my ipod to be bluetooth) But I went with my instincts as it was a Sony product, pay $30 more over a Jabra. Well it is perfect, I use this in my car with the Bluetooth enabled stereo, and it just works great, no problem with sound, I can even control music with the ipod and also the stereo( Play, Pause, Volume+/-, Next, Previous). Only thing it skips a couple of seconds until it synchronizes, but that is acceptable. Also it uses the power from the Ipod which means no hassles with extra wires, and the power consumed is minimal.

I have a Dell Bluetooth Headset, works fine with that too....

Only Draw back u cannot charge the ipod while u r using this item, unless u have a charger that goes into the audio jack of the Ipod. (Next on my list)

Great Product, Highly recommended!!!!

Customer Review: iPOd Bluetooth Adapter
Summary: 5 Stars

I hated the fact that Apple didn't have a wireless option for my iPod 5G. Searching the web I came across this Bluetooth adapter from Sony. Surprised. You bet.

This is one of the smallest Bluetooth adapters that I have come across for the iPod. Previously I tried a Logitech adapter and phones which were a joke. The adapter was huge and the headphones are made out of cheap plastic that snapped after a few months of use.

This Sony TMR-BT8iP adapter works great. I use it with a pair of Motorola S9 Bluetooth headphones. The controls on the headphones run the iPod and the sound quality is more than acceptable. Since the adapter draws power from the iPod battery you will notice somewhat less battery life but so far it has not been a problem for me.

I wanted a wireless iPod solution for walking and working around the place and this has proved to be ideal.

Customer Review: Great with Bluetooth headphones!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this because I had already purchased the Sony DRBT-50 headphones ( which are also Bluetooth ).
I was pleasantly surprised at how easily it paired with the headphones, and how good the sound quality was.
The range seems to be about 20 ft ( unobstructed view ) from the iPod with this transmitter and the DRBT-50s..
( which was also a pleasant surprise, I am used to bluetooth's range usually being about 12 ft or so with the equipment I currently own ) After that range the signal started to drop out.

The device is powered by the iPod, so it cuts down on the playing time of the iPod ( I haven't determined how long it will last yet )

There is no way to control the volume with the iPod or this device, I needed to use the volume controls on the headphones ( which did a good job )

All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Customer Review: It works with iPhone 3G!
Summary: 5 Stars

This bluetooth transmitter DOES work with iPhone 3G! I have the Giro bluetooth headphone for my snowboard helmet and is paired with my iPhone 3G. Although iPhone can stream phone calls to my Giro headphone via bluetooth, it does not stream music. I have to connect a wire from my phone to the headphone to listen to music.

This Sony Bluetooth Wireless Transmitter streams music AND phone calls! AWESOME!!! When connecting to the phone, the standard message appears "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone..." Just click the "No" button and continue. Of course, it works on my iPod mini as well.

One small issue: when I first connected the Sony device to my iPhone, it disconnected phone calls to my Giro headphone. I had to un-pair my headphone; turn off my iPhone; then pair my headphone again. Then everything works flawlessly...music and phone calls.

Customer Review: Awesome Little Gadget
Summary: 5 Stars

I love this wireless transmitter. My car didn't come equipped with a built-in iPod dock. I found out it would cost me about $400 - $500 to have it installed -- if I could even find one for my car. After doing some online research, I came across this bluetooth transmitter. I ordered this as well as a bluetooth speaker that attaches to my visor. The bluetooth speaker allows me to transmit over my car stereo. So, all I do is plug this wireless transmitter into my iPod, turn it and my bluetooth speaker on, and I've got my iPod music playing through my car stereo.

I love it! It's easy to use -- it plugs into your iPod just as easy as it is to plug your iPod into its charging base. I would imagine this would also allow you to transmit your iPod through other bluetooth devices, such as headsets. It doesn't seem to use a lot of extra power either.
