Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony Bluetooth Wireless Transmitter for iPod (Black)Customer Review: Excellent But Now Not Needed?!?! Summary: 5 Stars
Well when I got this little device I was pretty happy, its great for using with your stereo equipment, computers etc. I used it for a bluetooth headset connection, and for playing music through my car stereo (which sounded excellent)
I now come to find out that my ipod touch (2nd gen) has a built in bluetooth chipset, that allows for wireless stereo via bluetooth. Apple, however wants you to pay 10 bucks for this option through the ipod touch 3.0 software upgrade.
This is still a great transmitter for people who already own one and dont wanna upgrade for 10 bucks, or have a different compatible model ipod. If you own an ipod touch (2nd gen only) and wanna spend 10 bucks instead of purchase an external transmitter I'd suggest software version 3.0!
Customer Review: Great for Indoor workouts Summary: 5 Stars
This product works great for working out IN the gym, but when i run outside and have to carry my ipod with me, i found that the motion from running constantly disrupts the flow of the music :/ its like running with a cd player and having the audio skip endlessly.
But for excersise in a setting where you can just set this down and roam the gym w/out cords, its perfect! working out while listening to your ipod without the cords is a huge plus, im never going back to standard wired headphones again! I had already gone through about 4 wired pair in 6 months (got them caught on dumbells A LOT!), and that is what prompted me to look for a wireless solution, and this transmitter with some bluetooth headphones is the answer i was looking for! extremely satisfied!
Customer Review: Works well with my iPod and motorcycle helmet Summary: 5 Stars
I use this with my iPod and listen to music through my Bluetooth motorcycle helmet.
Pros
Small
Stays in the iPod slot snuggly
Doesn't shut down randomly
Works perfect!
Cons
Price; a little stiff, but worth it in quality (seriously, you get what you pay for with electronics)
Sometimes the quality isn't the best, but I attribute that to my usage of the product, which is driving down a windy highway going 90mph and having it in my jeans pocket.
If I am sitting in my room with it on, it works 100% perfect. On the road, maybe it works at 94% as sometimes you have to adjust it in your pocket to stay in a less windy position as sometimes it skips a little, but that could also be my helmet.
Customer Review: Perfect for Ipod touch 2nd Gen Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this product to replace the Motorola D650 that doesn't work with the Ipod Touch 2nd Gen. I am very happy with it. It is small and works with the Motorola S9-HDs and the Ipod touch 2nd Gen.
The only problem I have found is when you first sync these to the headphones, the music cuts in and out for a few seconds, but then the music becomes very clear with no more cut-outs.
The range is good too, I left the Ipod in the kitchen of my one bedroom apartment and walked into the bedroom without loosing the connection.
This seems to be about the most expensive Ipod adapter on Amazon, but it also seems to be the smallest and it works with all the new Ipods, which some of the adapters don't.
Customer Review: Drains battery; works excellently with 6G Nano Summary: 5 Stars
The transmitter works excellently with the 6th generation iPod Nano. You have only to switch on your headset and press the button of the transmitter to start music. You don't have to touch the iPod at all.
The only potential problem to you is that the transmitter drains the iPod's battery really quickly, in something like three hours. For that reason, I wish the transmitter were actually bigger and contained its own battery. It's surprisingly small and very nice and I like its smallness, but it doesn't have to be THIS small if it has to have this battery problem.
This is something to consider before you purchase this product for the 6th-generation iPod Nano, althouth it's otherwise excellent.
