Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony Bravia V-Series KDL-40V2500 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTVCustomer Review: Wonderful T.V. Summary: 5 Stars
I love this tv we got this friday and have loved it it has an amazing picture on a standard definition signel. It has ten total inputs 2 hdmi inputs and various other types of inputs. If you get an HD signal you will be blown away. I have been watching it on a 1080i signal for the past couple hours and it is astonishing. The basketball games are great. There are a few problems with the tv though, when you are watching basketball for example it lags a bit behind barely noticable but it is still there. The tv has a pretty fast refresh rate but it does lag a bit. Also the tv menus a little hard to use but once you get it used to it, it is great. Another great feture is that it can hold up to 16 favorite channels and of course when you get it with a blueray dvd player it is astonding. The tv also doesn't lose its picture from any angle. wich means you can host parties and impress your friends. Overall this tv is a great buy and with amazon youare sure you are getting the best price. Over all great T.V.
Customer Review: Stunning!! Summary: 5 Stars
Sony again demonstrates why they are the leader in electronics.
I was fully set on purchasing a Samsung or a Sharp HDTV until I saw the Sony's line of products, I was blown away by the picture quality.
I was originally going to buy a 42 inch tv but ended up getting a 40 inch instead.
Do yourself a favor and go to a store and see the tv's on display. You will see the difference!!
The picture even looks better when you get it home and tweak with the enormous picture settings that are available.
I initially thought that Sony was going through some tough times with quality and brand image, but with these new line of HDTV's that they are offering, any of those issues will be put to rest.
You won't be dissapointed if you buy this tv ,trust me.
You can also get this tv for under $1300.00, a great value.
If you are looking for a 40 inch 1080p HDTV, look no further this is your set!!
Enjoy!!
Customer Review: No clouds, remote is fine, great picture, no problems (so far) Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this 2 weeks ago. Because satellite isn't installed yet, we're using rabbit ears (yes, they still make them, much to my surprise) for another 3 weeks.
Picture is great when it's tuned to a nearby station; it seems to pick up stations awfully well, but no HD with the rabbit ears, yet.
Using a Sony DVP NS77H, connected via HDMI (yes, you need to buy your cable; Mine cost $12 thru Amazon), we get a phenomenal picture.
I've squinted and stared and crossed my eyes, but can't see the gray clouding that bothers some people.
The remote is just fine; you don't have to page through all inputs to find the one you want: just read the manual and on page 32 you will find out how to label inputs, and skip ones you don't use.
I bought it locally for $1399. Might have saved a few more bucks if I'd ordered it online, but we wanted it for the NFL playoff games this past weekend.
We're very happy with the purchase!
Customer Review: Couldn't be happier Summary: 5 Stars
This is our first HDTV and I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I first looked at one of these at our local Sony store. After going to all major electronics stores and Costco to look at what was available we decided to go for this Sony. Amazon had by far the best price of $1849 at the time with free shipping. In my novice opinion this TV is the best for the price. I can't really give an in depth technical review, however, the picture is beautiful, the sound fantastic for a TV (we ended up buying a Bose system for more of a theatre sound) and set up simple. I ordered it on 12/1/06 and was a little sad when it told me it would be delivered after 12/27 due to the holiday. The next day I received an delivery date of 12/13 and I'm happy to say it was! The delivery guys brought it into the house, unpacked it and took the debris away...at the free shipping price. What fantastic service. Like I said, we couldn't be happier!
Customer Review: A good choice after reading helpful Amazon reviews Summary: 5 Stars
I did a lot of research on the web and written reviews, and decided that this was the best in my 40" size range, although slightly more expensive as is typical of Sony.
I was particularly impressed that it was delivered by a special Transportation Company who handles thes big sets with care. The delivery was as expected, they called ahead, and also offered to remove the packing material, cardboard, etc.If i did it again I would retain the packing material until I had a chance to completely check the set out in case I had to send it back. Luckily every thing worked well. The picture is great .
You must read the instruction manual carefully because Sony offers so many features to allow optimation of the set.
I'm very pleased and I feel that I will have this for a long time as I have with previous Sony sets.
I mounted it on a flat wall with a PDR bracket (see review)which worked perfectly
