My mom was looking for a "small" unit that provided cassette and AM/FM radio. It's hard to find one these days without CD, so that was a bonus. Yeah, the handle has to be adjusted slightly to accommodate the cassette and antennae, but, so what. This little unit sounds great! And best of all, Mom loved it! Very attractive color and styling without the bulbous BoomBox footprint of other units out there.Customer Review: Sony CD player fits the bill

My wife is a violinist who listens to CD's of works she will be performing to get the feel for them. This is the best small, versatile (AC or DC so it can go with her whereever she is practicing, such as the backyard) with ease. Very small footprint for such a good unit. Good sound (nothing like our Bose speakers, but certainly adequate for what she needs.) Very pleased with it.

I really like this little wonder box! It is the perfect size, great looking design and it sounds terrific! The speakers provide very clear and smooth sound. It is easy to use and you can take it every where. I like in particular that it has a remote control so it makes your life easier if you are kind of far from it. I was most impressed at the sound quality coming out of this radio. Wish that it might have been a little bit smaller in size, but it still does not interfere with the space I have it sitting in. And Amazon is to be congratulated for its promptness in forwarding the merchandise.

I've had this over three years now. I love the way it looks, how it fits in a smaller space than most cd players and the sound is really great, especially for the price. I really enjoy having the remote control, makes it so easy to stop and restart if you want to listen to a song again or you're listening to language cd's.
