This so-called "boom-box" will rock your world. The treble is excellent and the bass is deep and full-bodied. No distortion whatsoever even at very high volume. Honestly, the sound is better than you'll find in significantly-more expensive systems. Best audio purchase I've made in some time.

I bought this for my 13 year old son. It has great sound, like a smaller home system. The sound is cleaR AND THE BASS IS REAL. DOES NOT SOUND distorted. This is a big unit, probably why it sounds so good. A real good product, and I'm not usually a Sony fan.Customer Review: Boombox for my husband

you can get plenty of bass with this unit and good mids and highs. Plenty of power but it sounds big and full even at a low volume. No complaints. Also nice that you can connect an Ipod or another unit to it to access it's speakers
