Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony CMTBX1 CMT Micro Component System with MP3 PlaybackCustomer Review: I LOVE this Unit! Summary: 5 Stars
After reading all the reviews on this unit I questioned my sanity for ordering it anyway. The thing that worried me most was the quality of sound and the volume. I don't know what those people were expecting or wanting out of a sound system but this unit exceeds anything I was expecting! The sound is great, the quality is fantastic, on FM, CD's and MP3s. It's possible the sound quality would not be what people are wanting for rock music. I listen to county, Gospel and audio books and I have no complaints what so ever. The volume goes up to 30 on the display but when I turn it up to 30 it is too loud to listen to in the same room but I can hear it perfectly when I go into my bedroom (the unit is in my living room). I love the way it looks, fits right in with my Sony Surround unit and flat screen TV. I only have two issues with it. One, I can't add the speakers it came with to my surround sound (it shuts itself off after about 10 seconds) but I can live with that. The other issue is minor also, I would have put a button on the remote to open the CD unit, but since you have to go to the unit to change CD's anyway it's not a big problem. It's just the button on the unit is tiny and bit awkward, I sometimes push the unit back on the shelf when I press it. Other than that I have no complaints, everything works as it should and I am extremly happy with it. It is replacing a Bose unit I had that I was tired of fighting CD's over. Some CD's wouldn't play until they just sat there trying for several minutes and I didn't want to pay big bucks for another. I have read several people say "for the price this is a great unit" and I totally agree but I would say "I can't believe this little unit is so cheap because it's great!"
