Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 12.1MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Zoom and Super Steady Shot Image Stabilization (Black)Customer Review: Screen started showing multi colored Summary: 2 Stars
The camera was working fine for nearly a year after that the screen went mulicolored. After that tried removing battery and puttingthe battery still when we switch on the camera the screen still shows multicolored. No picture can be seen or taken now with the camera.
Customer Review: Great photos, but bad construction Summary: 1 Stars
I have owned two of these cameras. The photo quality is great and it has a sleek design but the touch-screen is so weak that it easily cracks. My second one just cracked so I felt compelled to write a review. In this most recent case, the camera was just in my front jeans pocket and cracked due to the pressure from walking around (I don't wear tight jeans).
I have other touch-screen devises (iphone, blackberry, etc.) and have never head a problem. The screen on this camera feels different though; it flexes when you touch it. Since most of the camera's controls are operated through the screen (as well as the viewfinder), when it's cracked the camera is basically worthless. Also, because you have to be so careful with it, you don't use it as much as you might other cameras.
I will not be buying this camera again; I'll get one that has a more solid construction.
Hope this is helpful.
Customer Review: DO NOT BUY - 14 months old and it's already broken Summary: 1 Stars
First of all, very slow response time which causes a lot of blurred pictures. I learned to live with that problem but my real complaint is the fact that it got this error E61:10. This message came out of the blue, we just turned it on one day and it had the message and stopped working. I sent it to Sony's repair service and after 2 weeks I got a letter via snail mail saying it will cost $182.29 to fix it. I could have bought a cheap camera for less then half the price had I known this one is only good for a year.
Customer Review: Good until it stopped working Summary: 1 Stars
Like some others rating this camera negatively, I liked it until out of the blue, the screen stopped working - rendering it worthless. Fortunately for me, it was 13 months after I purchased it. :) Now, being 1 month past the warranty period, the minimum repair charge on the camera is $125 - over 50% of the cost of the camera. Not going to do it, and not buying a Sony again.
