I bought this camera to take with me to Disney World. I have a digital SLR but didn't want to use it on this trip as it is a little heavy for carrying all day - just wanted a small camera which would go in my pocket. I am certainly not disappointed with my purchase - I took over 400 photos and have only deleted 20 of them. The majority of the pictures were sharp with excellent color. I used the optical zoom quite a lot - and this worked really well. I disabled the digital zoom. All the pictures were taken at the highest quality so I could edit later if necessary. I took a lot of night shots of firework displays - some of the pics weren't so great - but others were very good. I would certainly recommend this to anyone wanting a convenient, easy to use camera. The menu is easy to navigate and I found the batteries lasted a long time. It's nice to be able to buy regular AA batteries to use as an emergency. I spent a lot of time in the evenings scrolling through all my pictures, so the batteries were really put to the test! I do like a viewfinder and this camera does not have one - but it really wasn't a problem and even the shots I took when I couldn't really compose the image worked well.Customer Review: Excellent camera for the money

This little camera really surprised me with the quality of the photos. I find it to be a great deal for the money. I bought it for our recent trip to Las Vegas as just a compact and inexpensive camera to throw in my purse. It has certainly lived up to and exceeded all expectations. It didn't take long at all to get comfortable with the various camera settings -- very user friendly.
I did purchase a 2 GB memory stick to go with it and haven't even come close to filling it. The memory stick came in handy while shooting video of the various Bellagio Fountain shows.
I use Sony disposable AA batteries and I've been pleased with the battery life. I'll probably go for a rechargeable battery setup in the future.
I haven't tried printing any of the photos I've taken so I cannot speak for that aspect of it.

I just got my Sony s650 camera and I love it!
At first I was skeptical on if I made the right purchase or not because I read so many reviews saying the cost of the memory card was just too expensive, but when I went to purchase the memory card (I trust Sony which is why I decided to just go with the Sony camera) the salesman told me you do NOT have to buy a Sony Pro Duo memory card, you can buy any brand just as long as it is a Pro Duo card.
I highly recommend this camera for anyone who wants to take great (non-professional) pictures. Indoor and outdoor photos are fantastic and I'm really pleased I decided to go with this camera.
Don't just trust reviews you've read, everyone has different opinions and tastes... try the camera out before you buy it and then make your decision.

I love this product. It's so easy to use and I've never used a digital camera before. It takes great pics and I'm so looking forward to using it on my upcoming vacation. It's lightweight and slim and sleek to me even though it's not in the slim and sleek catagory. It fits nicely into the 6 inch camera case that I purchased. The only thing I don't like about it is that you have to buy sony brand memory cards in order for the camera to have photo storage. Without the memory card you can only take 6 pictures which makes it difficult to buy memory cards on sale. The 1GB memory card is $40 bucks alone. Hope you buy this camera and you can always nuy memory cards on ebay at lower prices.!!!Customer Review: Sony Cybershot

This is the very first digital camera i have ever had and i chose this one cause most of my friends and family members all have it and they all say it's wonderfull!!! so i purchased this camera along with the Sony LCS-CSD General Carrying Case for Compatible Cybershot Digital Cameras and Sony 1 GB Memory Stick PRO Duo Media (MSXM1GST) (Retail Package) *note: even though i only bought 1GB of memory i recommend purchasing the one that's 2GB instead so u can have more room for all ur photos!!
