Customer Review: Good little camera, for the life it had Summary: 4 Stars
This camera was an upgrade for me at the time from a Fujifilm FinePix A345 and took waaaay better photos than that ever did, in much higher resolution and just better all-around sharpness and quality. I liked the adjustments for cloudy days, sunny days, fluorescent lighting, etc. and it turned on quickly so I could get a shot of something in a jiffy if need be.
I wished it had more manual settings - most notably an adjustable focus and a better way to set the light meter (often I'm aiming it at something dark to get the image to be brighter, then shooting my actual image and sometimes that means my shot is out of focus). High ISO photos are grainy, but at least you can still shoot in darker settings. Otherwise, you do get a lot of blur in lower light. I wished it had a better zoom, but it was okay. If you've got it on a lower megapixel setting, it will zoom in even more than it does on a higher setting. This was one I carried in my purse everywhere with me for two or three years. I used it quite frequently, sometimes every day, and it was good to me.
Lately, and I'm guessing it's at the end of its life, it's been displaying the menu screen even when I haven't pushed the menu button, and it's turning on about 1/3 of the time I push the power button. R.I.P., little camera.
For my next one, I definitely want more zoom and more ability to manually tweak my settings - but still have a point-and-shoot quality for Quick!-Get the camera! moments.
