Customer Review: I wanted so much to like this product.

I use my Skype account as my main landline phone number, and with free long distance calls to US and Canada, it is a great deal. I bought this headset wanting so much for it to be the complement to my perfect hands free phone system, but I am disappointed. The headset is very awkwardly shaped and slips off of my head constantly, making it very uncomfortable to wear. The earphones and built at an angle so that they do not even hug your ears. The materials are very cheap looking and feeling, a very lightweight plastic. The sound quality is TERRIBLE!! This is seriously radio quality or worse, people. Listening to music creates constant static scratching noises. Also, the battery life is underwhelming. The device seems to not go on standby on itself, so if you leave it on and set it down, the battery will be drained a few hours later when you come back and you will have to recharge it. It is very annoying that it gives you absolutely no useful indicator that the battery is low. All of a sudden it will beep three times and shut off, so I hope you weren't on an important call there!
Sony quality has really deteriorated over the years, I will not buy another Sony product again. Save yourself the trouble and get a better product, do not buy this headset, even though it is pricey it is a piece of junk.

Actually I hate reviews that skew the result that really don't review the product but this one has enough ratings that my poor rating shouldn't affect the average much.
Search for the black one ... amazon.com sells it for about 25% cheaper. But, if you like white ... go for it. funny how the reviews for this one are better too. The model number is the same so I'm sure other than the color they're the same. DRBT101/BLK.
Of course if you're using this for fashion I like this better, but I use this at home ... who cares.

These are ok headphones but the sound range is limited. The lower range doesn't really show up. Very tinnie. I have cheaper headphones that have a better base response. Listening to the song "Bad" by U2, one can barely hear the base at all. The phone was ok but heard static crackling on the calls I made during the whole call, this is with the phone 1 foot away from the headphones. Folks on the other end said I sounded like I was talking in a bucket. The price was a bit high for the quality I received. This works ok with my mobile, there is a slight pause in the music every 30 seconds which is quite annoying.
But with my computers its behaving very strange. I can hear few sounds are getting transfered. But all music or videos played in browsers are not. definitely wont recommend it.

I never used these headphones very much because the battery life was poor, about 3 hours. It was also difficult to feel the controls without removing the headphones. Finally, they stopped working altogether after about a year. A real dud.
