Just got these today and tried them out - pairing was quick and easy, the sound is good (I have a similar-looking pair of wired Sony's for my iPod), I'm learning the buttons, which are surprisingly easy to access, and it was easy to make a voice-dial call - but when my phone (LG Invision) was in my pocket and I was listening to music while walking, the motion seemed to cause the sound to cut in and out, like loose speaker wires. This doesn't happen with my Plantronics Bluetooth (mono) headset. I'll see if this continues, because if it does, I'll have to return these.
The manual addresses this specific problem, which it says is "due to improper matching of the bit-rate setting for the music transmitted from the Bluetooth device and the environment in which this unit is used." Say what? Phone in my pocket, headphones on my ears, I'm walking. Anyway, there are instructions for remedying this skipping, which seems to be to lower the bit rate. A higher bit rate produces better sound quality, but it can also cause skipping "depending on the usage environment." I noticed this doesn't happen if I'm not moving, but I got these to wear while walking/running/exercising, so this is not promising information. Maybe it matters where I carry the phone - pants maybe bounce too much; on my arm maybe?
-- OK, two days later and they're breaking down. First there was a noise that sounded like when a speaker isn't grounded, a low hum - and then the stop/play/next-previous cut button stopped working altogether. That somehow doesn't bode too well for the future, so back they go, and I'm looking for something else. And from what I've read, I'm not too encouraged. I don't get BT headphones so I can lie perfectly still and listen - they're so I can move, walk, run, exercise. Duh. Wonder what's got into the manufacturers that they seem so clueless about this fundamental function of BT headphones.

I bought these headphones with the specific purpose of using them when I work out at the gym. I guess if you have no intention of ever sweating while wearing them, these headphones would be okay. I bought my first pair and they died within a couple of weeks. I returned them to Amazon for a replacement, no problem. The second pair managed to last 38 days, which happens to be 8 days longer than Amazon's merchandise return window. So now I am stuck with an $80 piece of garbage. Don't get me wrong, they sounded great and the controls were very easy to use........when they were working. They were a bit bulky hanging on your ears, but I was willing to accept that to eliminate the wires. This is the first item made by Sony that I have ever been disappointed with. Usually, I buy Sony because it's a no-brainer. Their stuff is always good quality and well made. Not this time! My advice is to do some research and check around. If you are looking for something to excercise with, stay far away from these things!Customer Review: Not for exercise
