Customer Review: Buy them right and these are an outstanding value
Summary: 5 Stars

I feel like I'm on the quest for the "perfect" Bluetooth headphones.

I found these on sale and figured why not.

Good decision on my part. These are much more comfortable than any of the ear clip models I've used. It would be nice if there were more cushioning on the earpieces, but these are comfortable enough for several hours at a stretch. They stay in place while walking briskly - and they are very comfortable to wear in bed.

Audio (listening) quality is okay. Definitely not top-of-the-line, but adequate for general listening. Volume range is excellent. With the audio on my MP3 player at the 50% point, cranking up the volume on the these headphones got close to the point of being painful.

Construction is okay. Not battleship quality, but okay if you aren't really rough with them. No case is provided, which if you've paid full price, is a good reason to be aggrieved with Sony. The phones fold up very nicely, but are sturdy when unfolded.

The volume controls are the most accessible I've found on any of the Bluetooth headphones I've used. A big power button is quickly locatable as is the multi-function button. None of my units support the Fast Forward/Rewind function, so I couldn't test that function. Battery life appears to be pretty good.

As a headset, this unique is surprising. Voice transmission quality is quite good. I expected it to be tinny and it was not.

Overall, a really nice pair of Bluetooth headphones. Pairing was fast and simple. Listening and transmission audio were both good. Controls are well located and easily accessed. Folds up into a nice compact package. Look around: if you can get them on one of the sale sites, they are an excellent value.

Customer Review: Couldn't be happier!
Summary: 5 Stars

Having grown tired of constantly getting caught up on wires, I decided the time had come to link my iTouch with bluetooth headphones. Trusting Sony since I've been a Playstation owner for years now, I decided the time had come to own a pair. After going through several reviews at Amazon (my number 1 internet company for purchases), I picked and ordered these along with a transmitter. I couldn't be happier! Friday I went into Manhattan armed with these for a field test. They performed brilliantly. I found the placement of controls quite easy to get used to, the fit of the phones is very comfortable. They fold up easily and the one LED is on the back of the right earpiece, so it isn't like some, making the user appear to be a Borg from Star Trek. I carry my iPod in a travellers vest and had absolutely no problem with the signal. In fact, when I was home, I left my pod in my living room while taking my dog out back for a quick bathroom break. It wasn't until I was forty feet away that I lost the signal. I also have these linked with my T-Mobile Gravity cellphone although so far I haven't gotten a call. I give these highest marks and expect to get a lot of use out of them. OH, they don't charge through a USB, they charge through a regular AC Adapter (included and it weighs more than the phones!) I didn't see any appreciable drain on my ipod battery (which runs the transmitter). I will say, the transmitter is tiny, so be careful as it may be prone to being lost easily. Other than that, these are great. No more wires!

Customer Review: Enjoying tunes on the go
Summary: 5 Stars

I've been waiting patiently to purchase this BT headset, and after I found a sale at the right price (better, actually), I jumped on it. This is my first stereo BT headset, so I don't have any comparisons with other models. However, I am very happy with this set! I have it paired with a Motorola Q and it works great for both music and hands-free calling. (It does expose the relatively short battery life in my Q, however!)

Some have complained about the "flimsy" folding mechanism. I find it perfectly adequate. I throw it in my bicycle pack every morning and trek into work, and it's held up just fine. Nice and compact.

The only strike I might have against it is the hinge at the top-center. I usually like to wear my headsets fairly tight against my head. Since this joint is reinforced, it's a tad bulky there and took some getting used to. But once I found a good position, it's been fine.

Controls are easy to use; sound quality is very good; pairing was easy. I use it almost every single day, and only have to charge it 1-2 times per week. Overall, I highly recommend this product!

Customer Review: Works Perfectly with my Blackberry 8350i
Summary: 5 Stars

I couldn't be more pleased with the way this unit works with my Blackberry! Sony has hit a home run with this headset along with Amazon's terrific price! I think it is being discontinued for the newer models but I really prefer the simple look of this unit to the futuristic look of the new ones (That is why I am ordering a 2nd headset today). The Bluetooth pairing worked flawlessly between the Sony and my Blackberry. Thanks to A2DP and AVRCP the headset sounds great and can control the music player in my Blackberry; very convenient! Rechargeable lithium ion battery should last a very long time. The headset has a finesse about it that makes me be extra gentle with it but it does not seem cheaply made at all. If you are looking for booming bass then this is not for you. The bass is there, however it is not very strong. The rest of the listening range comes in very well, crisp and clear with no distortion. It has a built in mic which allows you to answer calls should they interrupt your music listening pleasure, but once finished you can easily resume. I really like the fact that the mic is hidden, too.

Customer Review: Great headset.
Summary: 5 Stars

Great for workouts since there is no cord.

Works great with my Nexus One and other phones that do stereo bluetooth. Can switch from playing back music to a regular voice communication bluetooth device on the fly depending on your phones capabilities.

Sound quality is good. I'd rate it 8 out of 10.
Phone call quality is so-so. I rate it 5 out of 10.

Note: When using bluetooth speakers you loose the ability to make equalizer adjustments. This appears to be a limit of the technology, not the headset. However the sound quality is still good

The buyer of this headset should be:
Someone who works out/ does other physical activites where a cord gets in the way.
A commuter or travelar.
Not someone who needs to make heavy use of the phone calling feature.
(there are better headsets for that.)
Some one that's not a sound quality snob. (You know who you are.)
