Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony DVC-60 PRR/5 Premium Minidv Videocassette (5-Pack)Customer Review: Sony Mini DV tapes Summary: 5 Stars
DV tapes from Sony are very well constructed and have proven to be reliable even after I re-write over them three or more times. As a professional videographer, I mainly use the Premium types to do Horse shows in different states. These competitive events require that I use as much as 60 tapes per event. So re-using previously recorded tapes are a must if I am to maintain my profit margins and my ever decreasing office space.
I highly recommend them.
Customer Review: Recommended by a reliable source Summary: 5 Stars
When I first started videotaping weddings, I needed a tape that I could count on, so I asked my supplier- B&H out of New York. They're probably the biggest supplier in the country. They recommended these tapes, and added most people in that industry use them and love em. So I started using them, and haven't had any regrets! They're reasonably priced, and seem to deliver the quality that I need! But Amazon definitely gave me a much better price than B&H did.
Customer Review: Work fine on a Sony HDR-HC3 Summary: 5 Stars
No problems whatsoever. HDV was made to work on regular DV tapes, so I really don't see the reason for buying those more expensive "HD-grade" DV tapes. I don't think the rated +3dB gain in signal-to-noise ratio of the more expensive tapes makes any difference if you're recording digital content. Perhaps higher quality tapes are needed if you record over and over on the same tape. Anyway, I'm happy with the results I've had so far.
Customer Review: Can't Beat Price Summary: 5 Stars
Naturally any that sells on the web will be cheaper that in the local retail stores. Sometime when you pay shipping it's almost the same. Except for these Tapes you get more for your money. Something likes that...
Shipping time was low..., like a turtle without one leg and one hand tied to the other hand and a pregnant elephant on top of this turtle. IF U don't need these tapes wright away this is a good deal.
Customer Review: Good Deal Summary: 5 Stars
Can't beat buying these tapes online compared to stores. Don't buy the HD Mini's they are the same as they's but about 5 times more expensive. Have shot with both with absolutely no differences in appearances. From my understanding it is just simply a marketing ploy that is most likely working. If your worried about artifacts in you HD video (which occurs so rarely) your probably not using this type of tape anyway.
