I originally bought the Toshiba SD-P91S 9-Inch Portable DVD Player thinking I would need the bigger screen. Got home, started it up and...
1 - Found that you don't need a bigger screen, especially if you just plan on using it on a plane, on your desk, etc.
2 - The resolution on the Toshiba unit was very poor, with the pixel lines clearly visible even to the point of annoying.
So, I returned it and bought this Sony unit. - Whoa, what a difference.
1 - The size is perfect and easily fits where you want it.
2 - The picture is crystal clear.
That's what I was looking for and I got it. Go get yourself one and see if I'm wrong. - Simple review, simply great.

I use this DVD player quite often and am delighted with it. It has a long lasting rechargeable battery - about 6 hours - and is good to take on the bus with me when I leave my hometown for various roadtrips. It is slin in design, and the picture on it swivel around, enabling the viewer to use it at a variety of angles. It also has 2 headphone jacks so two people can listen to it in privacy and comes with adapters so as to enable its use with a regular television. SONY is the best. This is more expensive than COBY or other portable DVD players, but you get what you pay for and I will buy only SONY electronics if possible. I paid a little extra for the extended warranty.Customer Review: It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This!

I admit to not being very astute when it comes to tech stuff. But I simply got so sick and tired of the hassle in hooking one-thing-up-to-another-thing to just sit back, relax and enjoy. Now I can do all that with ease anywhere and enjoy my favorite movies and instructional programs with the most superb picture quality possible along with its fantastic portable ease-of-use, and truly long-life battery time. Moreover, even though it was a bit more than I wanted to spend at the outset, I am delighted that my wallet went that extra mile because this is a truly solid investment that will provide lovely viewing, listening and learning - like the song says...as time goes by.Customer Review: It plays Disney DVDs!

I LOVE this DVD player. Yes, the resolution is beautiful. But what's really great? It actually works! It plays every DVD we put in it, even those tricky Disney DVDs that never seem to work quite right. This is the third portable DVD player we've owned and it's by FAR the best. The many options the swivel screen provides for viewing convenience is also a nice feature, but the fact that it just works is the best. And, when you turn it off, it remembers where you were. Parents: No more waiting to get through previews and menus after a fill up at the gas station! Hurrah! Way to go Sony. This is truly intelligent design.Customer Review: Excellent product!!!! We purchased this to entertain our toddlers on their first flight to Disney. It was lightweight, compact, and worked wonderfully. It features two headphone jacks so that we did not have to disturb fellow passengers with their cartoons.
Now, I set the brightness to ten to conserve battery life as recommended by another reviewer. I also charged the battery upon arrival and it actually lasted the entire trip (approximately 6 hours of use) even though I brought the charger. The sound and picture quality were excellent!
