The price is right and this DVD player is easy to use and set-up. The buttons are easy to reach and self-explanatory. The image is large and clear and the sound can be turned up pretty loud. There was a slight distortion in claritiy if it was too loud, but all-in-all, this is a great DVD player. The only thing I would like better is if they sold this as a dual screen set so they can be mounted on the back of the headrest (when traveling in the car). Kept the kids entertained during a 5 hour trip, making for a more enjoyable ride!Customer Review: Excellent product

After researching DVD players for days and days, I finally found one with actually good reviews. Everything available at Target and Walmart had shaky reviews and many items not lasting long at all. This product let us start a movie in the car and when you turn off the car, you can still watch the movie from where it left off - this is something many people complained about in other players. I purchased the Phillips carrying case at Target and it worked in there perfectly. Love it! Kept my child occupied during the whole trip.Customer Review: Sony designs great product ...

Looked at several different DVD Players on line and at the store. My criteria were battery life, picture quality and kid proof. 6 hrs of battery life, a great picture and the ability to spin the screen 180 to keep kids hands off the disc itself (if it's sitting on an airplane tray table) is a great feature.
Unfortunately the first one I bought had a problem within the first week with the carrier for the laser (stopped tracking) but Amazon replaced it immediately.
Replacement is working great.

We have had this DVD player for 2 months now - bought it for long car and plane trips. The swivel and flip is great, we have it mounted in the car and this makes it easy to turn toward the front seat so I can get the dvd going for the kids. The picture is great, the player does not stop when you stop the car like some do. We have not had any problems at all. I spent a month researching and this one seemed the most solid, so far so good!
UPDATE: We've had this player for almost a year now, no problems!!

Got it for my kids. I'm satisfied with the picture and the sound quality. Nothing really to complain about at all. Great little dvd player when we are on the road long enough to justify putting it in the car. Got some Sony headphones for kids that dampen the sound and they can still hear it just fine. Came with everything needed, including a power adapter for the car. Fits nicely in the little case I got with it, which allows me to hang it between the front seats so both of my kids can watch from the back.
