Compact and light enough to carry in a coat pocket. Incredible HD video. Flash memory means less moving parts which probably equates to more durability and longevity but we'll see. I would suggest Voltaic HD for quicktime conversion if you have a Mac until the software really catches up. Toast 10 Pro has an incredible plug-in for burning Blu-Ray to an ordinary DVD and for quick viewing of non-converted files. I'm using Final Cut Express 4.0 for editing my quicktime conversions and then buring to Blu-Ray on a DVD (less $) with Toast 10 Pro. This camcorder is well worth the money. It records HD to a memory stick pro / no additional media is required. (no additional moving parts such as a hard drive or mini DVD) The stabilization and zoom is fantastic and unlike most camcorders this model has the night shot feature which allow low light recording. (sony illuminated the night shot in most models) Do the research but I think you will find that this camcorder is highly recommended camcorder by users and reviewers, pretty simple to use and great quality.

We bought this for pictures and filming our new baby girl. It's been 6 months and I've been using it consistently. You'd be amazed at how much footage can fit on the memory card that comes with the camera. I was going to order an extra card but got busy and now I really don't think we need it. The pics are beautiful and the video is fantastic. The camera is so small and light it's barely noticeable when you carry it. This is a great buy.Customer Review: AWESOME

Well, if you always use the best, this should be your choice. Top model of the handycam world. Memory Stick PRO Duo instead of hard disk drive, 1920 x 1080 full HD video and 10.2 megapixel still image capture (which means you don't need a camera anymore). You won't believe the quality of the recordings when you watch them on 55 inch TV.
Plus, very handy and lightweight.
