Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony HTSS360 5.1 channel Home Theater System (Black)

Customer Review: Great for the price
Summary: 5 Stars

Overall, this is a great system. The sound isn't five-star amazing, but you can't expect that at this price, and it's certainly satisfactory as an entry-level setup. As other posters have said, the speaker cords are a little short -- we ended up splicing some 18 gauge speaker wire from Radio Shack on them to make them work, so plan accordingly if you have a medium-sized or large room. It's also one of the few at this price point that has both HDMI in- and outputs, so if you're using HDMI, consider this system.

Customer Review: GREAT SYSTEM
Summary: 5 Stars

Purchased this system as my first home theater system and i am extremely happy. After doing some research on this item and looking at reviews i was convinced this item would be my best choice. i have it hooked up to LG flatscreen, PS3 and Direct TV DVR and i get nothing but great sounding audio. The Speakers are very loud and crisp. Even playing music sounds great. My blu-rays have never sound better. If you are looking for a great and affordable HTS this is your choice. You will not be disappointed.

Customer Review: Good system for a small room
Summary: 5 Stars

I just finished setting the system up and for a small 13' x 13' room it sounds pretty good. I was also limited by space in the entertainment center so the receiver allowed plenty of room for other components including a Panasonic Blue Ray DVD.

When I say it sounds pretty good, I am judging based on listening to my 30 year old ADS 810 speakers and also having listened to a Definitive Technology cinema 800 system, both of which are pleasing to listen to.

Customer Review: A Great Product
Summary: 5 Stars

I was really surprised how easy it was to set up- everything is color coded. It has 3 HDMI inputs (which are labled dvd, blu ray etc, but you can use them for whatever you like) which made it easy to connect my PS3 and Roku Player! I was afraid of the speakers looking like an eyesore, but they really just disappear in the room. Sounds pretty good- not the best I've heard, it's possible I may need to recalibrate a bit- it's a steal at the price.

Customer Review: At the price, great sound and features
Summary: 5 Stars

For my ears (not the most sophisticated - aka: Sony's little, low power speakers fine by me) and for my use (quiet 20x20 media room) with my needs (3 hdmi inputs and one out... using em all) spending more made very little sense. When the film calls for it (Transformers II) sub wolfer rocks just fine. Please note: my 5 stars are not to say that this is the best sound system in the world... just that it's the best one I've ever used AT THIS PRICE.
