This clock is awesome. Especially if you figure you only paid $11.00 for it. You will read that people rate this clock low because the time is off by a few mins when they receive it, and some even try unplugging it and plugging it back in (which would be fun to watch) just to get the time to "set itself". What they don't understand is this clock does NOT mention that it's an Atomic Clock (which sets itself automatically in most major markets), but rather it's set at the factory and the battery back-up holds the time (to the best of it's ability) until the consumer (thats you and me), plugs it in. Now granted, it will be off by a min or two, but come on people, you paid $11.00. This clock is so easy to program and set the time, I was able to do it before I even read the instructions. The radio portion even sounds great for a mono speaker radio. And someone mentioned the battery life, it's a rechargable battery, it won't live forever, you will have to replace it after a couple of years. But again, remember, you paid $11.00, changes are it will be cheaper to buy a new clock then a new battery. So if your looking for something dependable to get you up in the morning, this is it. If you want something that will do everything that people here are complaining about, buy a Bose.Customer Review: Great VFM clock radio

This clock radio is very good for the price ($11 with free delivery from Amazon).
The radio has good sound quality and the controls are easy to figure out and work.
The unit is slightly big for my taste, but as that's personal taste I can't mark it down for that.
One thing I will say is that descibing this clock as 'Automatic Time Set' is misleading. The clock is NEVER set automatically (i.e. by some internal mechanism), always manually - by someone (be it yourself or someone in the factory). 'Automatic' implies that when it is plugged in it automatically aquires the time from somewhere (presumably radio). But the clock retains the time when there is no mains power by means of the backup battery. If you take the battery out and unplug it, then the clock loses the time and you have to set it manually, just as someone did in the factory before it was shipped to whoever you bought it from. When you plug it in for the first time, it's just pulling the time out of it's internal chronometer which was retained by the battery since it left the factory. However, as the battery should last a good long while and this unit is so cheap, again, I cannot justify dropping my rating on this product.

This is the best alarm clock ever! I first discovered this clock while staying at a fancy new hotel in Mammoth. All the rooms were outfitted with this particular brand and design. Once I tried it, I was determined to get one for myself. Beyond the sleek design, it has many features that truly set it apart. First, setting the time, date, alarm is quite simple. It is also a smart clock in as much as once you set the date and your time zone, it will automatically adjust for daylight savings time and back to standard. No more springing forward and falling back!! The display is clear and bright, but not so bright as to disturb your sleep. The alarm sound is even pleasing but will nonetheless rouse you even from a deep sleep. The snooze function is also a nice feature. There are many other features to this clock that I can not mention in this review - battery back up, date display, radio, alarm indicator, snooze indicator, etc, etc. It is definitely beyond what I expected. And when you consider the price, it is truly a good value and an overall great product. It's got it all: design, funcionality, value! Get.It.Now.Customer Review: Terrific Buy!

This is a terrific little clock-radio at a marvelous price. It may be the best value of anything I have ever bought from Amazon. The clock is easy to use, has already passed the power outage test, and the radio is about as good as you can get at this size. People who have found various nit-pick faults with this little gem need to review what they paid for it. Yeah it is a little difficult to set in the dark - the first two or three times. But here's an idea: set it before you turn off the lights. I love the big, easy-to-read bright green display. I can see it from across the room and right next to it. So bright it keeps you awake? Please. I sleep with it about 18 inches from my face. Doesn't keep me awake. In short, this is a great product at a great price. Buy it. As an added bonus, like almost all products sold directly by Amazon, it arrived in three days. Why most of the various vendors that sell through Amazon need anywhere from 7 to 14 days is a real mystery, especially since they usually charge even higher rates than Amazon.Customer Review: Great alarm clock, Great price.

I bought a pair of these to replace my 10+ year-old pair from Westclox. I was looking strickly for an alarm clock, so the AM/FM radio was a bonus for me. Some reviewers have complained about the green LEDs not being bright enough. The LEDs are about an inch tall, and easily readable from across the room in a sunshine-lit bedroom, which is what I have certain times of the day. Another complained about the clock's "AM" indicator (this clock has both AM & PM indicators-many alarm clocks only have PM). My wife is easily confused, and this did not present any problems. Setting the alarm is a snap. Each time you turn the alarm on, it provides about a 5-second display of the current alarm setting before defaulting back to the current time. If you need to adjust the alarm clock, simply toggle the switch one way or the other to set the alarm earlier or later. We love these clocks! You won't be disappointed. One note- it is about twice as big as the alarm clock we got rid of, but again, this is a clock radio.
