It is very rare that I am this pleased with any product that I purchase! This product is very well-designed, well made, and available at a bargain-basement price! On top of all that, it's a SONY! It is apparent that a lot of thought went into the design & layout of the controls on this appliance. It is dead-easy to learn to operate. You don't even need to look at the instructions! I am an engineer by profession, 55 years old, and I would rate this appliance in the top 10 best of my lifetime purchases!Customer Review: Great little alarm clock

If you're looking for a high-fidelity radio, look elsewhere, but if you're looking for a reliable little alarm clock that will wake you up at the right time even if the power goes out for a few hours overnight, this is the one for you. I also like that you can easily adjust the alarm time using one hand, with the simple use of a convenient little "paddle" switch. I've owned this little baby for 3 years, and it's been trouble-free the whole time, not even needing a (back-up) battery change.Customer Review: great price, great product

This is a great radio at a great price. I bought it for work and needed something small that had good reception. After getting tired of moving my old clock radio from spot to spot at different times of the day to get decent reception, I finally found this product reviewed on Amazon and decided to give it a shot. It works really well, and the reception is great. Occasionally the signal seems to get lost, but 95% of the time it is crystal clear. I needed new bedroom clocks. I had purchased this clock in a "Big Box Store", then found it on Amazon cheaper..and with free shipping! I ordered two more and find it very interesting that when the clock is plugged in, the time is already correct! I have told several friends about this clock..it's compact, but can do anything and everything I need a bedside clock to do, other than play CD's..which I don't need. The engineer in me is always impressed when a product performs well, has good build quality, and demonstrates that its designers considered all the details. Even more so at a such a low price. Easy to read LED display that is not too bright, very good radio performance (audio is acceptable if not great from the small speaker/case), and the auto-set feature worked quickly right out of the box. Simple to use, quality case, right size, and all this for little $. Recommended.
