Bought this to replace a 20 year Radio Shack clock radio/phone. I was hesitant to buy this item at first since it has a green LCD display and they say red LCD's help you sleep better, but this clock radio has a brightness control. You get three settings to choose from - low, medium, high brightness. I keep it at medium which is not too bright, and does not disturb my beauty sleep. The alarm is easy to setup and you have alarm 1 and alarm 2 in case you're mate is too cheap to buy their own clock radio. The radio reception is excellent which is what attracted me to this particular item. I get perfect reception for AM stations so I can listen to the NY Mets lose every night. The FM reception is even better. It has a nice slick design and does not take up too much nightstand room. The black color is sharp but they also make this item in white. I recommend this radio for only $14.99, you can't go wrong.Customer Review: Perfect!

This alarm clock is awesome. I have one complaint, the actual plug prongs seem to be the tiniest bit off. I could not plug it into one of my surge protectors, but could plug it into another. Probably just quality control and I got an off one. Other than that it's so great! I plugged it in and bam, there's my time! You can change the time (if you like to put it fast, like I do). The radio quality is good, gets better reception than my ipod/radio boombox thing! I like the size of it, not huge like our last cd-player alarm clock. It's a SONY and it's $[...]. Better than getting some piece of junk for over $[...] from Walmart! I searched alarm clock and did bestselling. I saw this had so many good reviews, great price and fast shipping with Prime. I received this on ONE day! Perfect! ALSO I love that you can adjust the brightness! (Perfect for my fiance)Customer Review: It does what it says with no negatives.

Each time Sony brings out a new version of their alarm clock it's upgraded. This version trumps all of our older Sony clocks. It has no negatives! I love all the new features. The auto time set feature does work as advertised as I plugged mine in and it said the right time and date.( I set to my time zone )The display is nice and big and the brightness levels are just right in my opinion. The bright setting is easy to see in a sunlit room and the dim setting is very dim for those who don't want it too bright while sleeping. The alarms are very easy to set and change. Now all I have to do is twist the dial to go forward or back while setting the alarm. Very nice. This is a great little clock for the money and it does everything it says.
Amazon's price was the lowest that I could find a well. Payed $[...] bucks free ship.

i got this one since a few weeks, and LOVE ITTTTT....
it does the basics things and is loud enough to wake you up, especially if you set the alarm on radio(even better to wake up with some music if you set alarm to your favorite station)..
Don't listen to all these people complaining about everything , this alarm clock does the basic thing you gonna buy it for(that means an ALARM CLOCK, RADIO, etc)..Those who exagerrate about the display it's nice lcd , big and readable as long as you don't get eye problem, and for that blame your eyes...and also the light can't disturb your sleep,trust me..
And you can set up 2 alarms, i set up one for me at 10.00 and the other alatrm for my wife at 5.25 because we work different shifts..and it's great..

This is actually my 2nd Sony atomic alarm clock, but I upgraded from the other model just below this one, that only has a single alarm. Anyway, it took just one quick read of a few directions on how to operate it, and I was set to go. It takes 2-3 minutes at most to put the settings in place and have your clock up and running. The numbers are a nice light green color, but it's definitely not annoying to the point it'll blind you. As for the radio, it deserves much better sound, but I didn't buy this for listening to music anyway, so that's not a big deal to me. I tested the alarm too, and it worked as advertised, so I'm definitely impressed with this so far, considering I just got it today. Hopefully it'll last me a long time, and the features were very much worth buying this. Thank you Amazon.
