Customer Review: Can be Set to Really Dim!

I wanted two features in a new clock - #1 was being able to dim the display so we don't have to turn it on it's face to sleep in the same room with it like the last one, and #2 have recognizable controls so you don't change a setting every time you touch it, like the last on.
This one scores well on both counts. It has three dimming levels - regular, dim, and really dim. The last works very well in our really dark house at night, though it's a bit hard to read in the day time. Not an issue - we don't read the bedroom clock in the daytime.
The controls are easy to find, and distinct. No more changing settings accidentally.
All in all, totally satisfactory.

I just got this clock in. It was very simple to set up...it would be easy to set up even if you didn't have the manual (single sheet of paper!). We have another alarm clock/CD/radio/sound machine combo. The settings were so complicated and difficult to remember that we just use it to tell time now. The best part? The knobs to change the alarm settings. Just turn the knob and hold to scroll the time. No more pressing buttons numerous times until your finger cries for relief. This is particularly helpful since my husband works swing shift and changes his setting twice a week. Recommendation: Buy it if you're looking for a basic alarm clock that is ridiculously easy to program.Customer Review: don't have to worry about daylight savings time

had a smartset clock for many years, but they changed when daylight savings time went on and off, but the radio band that set the clock did NOT change. Drove us crazy. Needed a dual alarm clock that would keep time in case of a power outage and on this one you can turn on or off the auto daylight savings adjustment. Works like a dream. Did have to replace the little battery right away-they keep it in there to set the clock up right away when you open the box. Not a big deal. Great clock. Love that you can choose your snooze time-just press the snooze button multiple times to go 10-20-30-40-50-or 60 minutes more. Very happy with this clock. What can you buy for $12 anymore. I just had lunch that cost me $15! I had my previous alarm clock for as long as I could remember and when i finally spilled water on it, I had to get a new one. This one has dual alarms, which is handy. The time zone selection was as described in the manual and I was off and running. The radio sounds good enough. Setting the alarm is slightly difficult only because the dial they have in place can zoom right past what time you are trying to hit but that is barely worth mentioning. Basically my conclusion is that if you need an alarm clock to get the job done, this one is great. Free shipping and no tax - done deal.
