Customer Review: Best Shower Radio I've ever known
Summary: 5 Stars

I looked around a bit for a good shower radio and stumbled across this item. For months I put off buying it because I did not need it, but eventually I bought it for myself as a Christmas present. I am not disappointed. I've had it for almost 5 months and the batteries are still good and I listen to it for hours most days - through showers, baths and just cleaning around the house. The stations come in very well and I like that I can have some programmed because it's quick and easy to go from news to morning motivation music. The speakers are good and I don't need to blast the radio while the water is running. It's light for portability yet very durable, solid and looks great. I did buy it thinking there was an alarm clock feature, but was slightly disappointed when I found out that it was just a timer. That's the only complaint that I have, but I think one of the reviews on another site said there was an alarm, so that was a mistake. I love it!

Customer Review: Worth the price
Summary: 5 Stars

I was lucky enough to get this product as a gift. I'd bought myself some cheaper shower players in the past, and they never worked well or lasted long. I have had this model for about a year, and I use it most days. It works as well today as the day I took it out of the box. The digital tuning makes it much easier to find your favorite radio stations than with analog. It looks nice, and it can stand or be hung. It is a touch heavy, so if you want to hang it up, make sure you have a sturdy enough means.
Of course, the CD player uses up the batteries faster than the radio, I can usually get about 2 weeks worth of showers with radio play out of the batteries after they are too low to run the CD player. Even days when I don't feel like having music in the shower, the clock makes sure I don't get behind schedule. Overall, I think the price is worth it for the quality. Or, add it to your wish list and maybe you'll luck out like I did!

Customer Review: Just perfect!
Summary: 5 Stars

After researching, looking at, and buying (then returning) several compact CD/Radio combos (I wanted it to go from kitchen to bathroom, but didn't have room for a boombox) I can finally rest. The Sony Liv Shower Radio is small, easily carried around with its attached handle, and has great sound--no distortion as volume is increased, and no background fuzziness. The one quibble, which I only noticed in the store as I compared it to the matching new Sony Dream Machine CD player, is that the Dream Machine gets much louder and still maintains the integrity of sound--but you have to plug it in, so you aren't going to be carrying it anywhere. That being said, mine is in the kitchen right now on a low-to-middle volume setting, and I can hear it out here in the living room--so it's loud enough, for sure. Love it!

Customer Review: The Best Shower Radio Available
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the third shower radio I've owned, and I've had it for almost a year. I use it mostly for the radio, only playing CDs maybe 4 times so far. It's on for about 30 minutes every morning and I'm still on the original set of Duracell batteries! My last radio went through 4 AAs every month, so this is a huge improvement.

The sound is as good as you can get from a small unit like this, and the reception is excellent even on local public radio stations and I've only unwrapped the antenna wire a few inches.

Not much more I can say. There are a lot of cheaper options available, but none of them come close to the Sony, so if you are serious about getting a quality unit you'll be happy with, this is your only choice.

Customer Review: Great shower radio
Summary: 5 Stars

It's big, it's bulky and it's expensive, but as far as shower radios go it's great. Good reception on most stations (can't get my country, but I can't get that on about 50% of the radios I try). Lots of great features like presets, a clock (that's on even when the radio is off) and digital tuning. It can get very loud without losing too much quality. It does get a little squeally when turned up loud, but it's hardly noticeable. And I'm referring to LOUD, which you might not even do. We've gone through a hand full of shower radios and this is by far the king of them all. I was going to give it only 4 stars because I do think it's a little too expensive, but then none of the cheap ones ever worked right, so I guess I can't complain.
