I had an Indiglo alarm clock which began fading its display (without an etch-a-sketch type shake). I was torn between an iPod radio and CD player. This accomodates both!! The display is huge and can be dimmed according to prefernce. Also, you can wake to alarm, radio, or CD. There is an A/C jack (with the cord provided). I go to sleep listening to my iPod. Also, there is a sleep timer that you can set to shut the sounds off when you've drifted asleep. It was everything I wanted! I'm glad I made the purchase!Customer Review: Clock radio with CD

This is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. It plays the CD or radio for 90, 60, or 30 minutes so you can go to sleep. Huge numbers on the clock display---I am nearsighted and can see them without my glasses from across the room. All controls are marked for feeling them in the dark, so you can't go wrong. This is a well-thought-out piece of equipment. Don't buy it for exceptional sound, but it is fine at the low levels you will probably use next to your bed.Customer Review: Easy to use

Picked this for very simple reasons (1) Must have MP3 input capability (2) Must be able to play CD's (3) cost. Looking to get battery backup as well but it wasn't as important and I chose this unit which does not have this feature. I didn't buy it to use as an alarm, but this has the most straightforward, easy-to-use dual alarm I have ever seen. Very well designed. I went through a lot of clock radios before finding this one. The main thing I was looking for: being able to set the alarm to come on to a certain song on the CD. Many, many, many alarms don't alow this for some stupid reason - you have to wake up to song # 1 on the disc each and every day. But this one is smarter than all the others. The other features are set up well & easy to use too. I have had it about a year now, and haven't had any problems.Customer Review: Works perfect!

We purchased this as a gift for my wife' grandmother & it works great. The sound is clear, it plays CD-R & CD-RW, and its very easy to use (her 76 year old grandmother can use it). It also has a sleep timer that can be set @ 90, 60, 30 & 15 minute intervals. It could be improved with the addition of a battery back-up (or better yet auto set clock) but that is the only problem I see with this unit. Highly recommended for putting yourself to sleep with music!
