We own two of these, and I'd guess that one has been in service in our bathroom for almost ten years. I'm about to buy a third one for our daughter, and I'm happy that this model is still available. It's easy to turn on and off, easy to change stations, and the batteries seem to last forever. After daily use as a shower radio over a long period, the radio has held up well, with just some wear-through on the plastic panel over the OFF button. Occasionally we use it as a portable radio that we grab from the bathroom and use to monitor something on television or as a fallback option when the power is out. It's a dependable and well-designed unit; I wish I could say that about more things that I use.Customer Review: Great reception but there's a problem with the buttons

I've had this radio for about 6 years, my parents and boyfriend also have the same radio. We all keep it right in our showers. Like many of the other people who have written reviews, my parents' and boyfriend's buttons have cracked and peeled away, but I have not had this problem. My shower is a bathtub/shower combo so it's pretty long and I keep it toward the back of the shower away from the spray, while they both have shower stalls so the radio is much closer to the spray; I think this is why they've had the problems and I haven't. Other than the button problem, this radio is great. Always gets great reception, easy to tune and the timer is wonderful. Highly recommended.Customer Review: Best shower radio I've had

I had one of these for 5 years. It finally died, only because the button covering wore thin from use and water got into where it wasn't suppose to. The batteries last a really long time and the timer is crucial! Other radios that don't have this feature run through batteries quickly. I bought a fancy CD radio from Sharper Image and it totally sucks. The batteries last about a week or two and it doesn't have a timer. What it does have is a sleep alarm that you can accidently hit and have go off in the middle of the night.
I'm returning my Sharper Image radio and buying another Sony. Best $50 bucks I've ever spent. With the weather radio feature it can really come in handy.

I have to say, this radio works flawless in my shower. I've had it for a little over 3 months and I listen to it daily for about 15 minutes at a time and I still have yet to change the batteries on it (2 AA I believe). Prior to this shower radio I had a Brookstone am/fm shower radio which took 4 C batteries and I would have to change them about once a month. I get great reception of my FM stations and I even get some TV audio through it, to listen to the Football games. It's very small and sits nicely on my pedastel and comes with a suction cup antenna. All in all, I strongly recommend this shower radio over any other on the market. No problems, no complaints....Customer Review: Great shower radio

Received as a gift and love it! Our old shower radio got too much soap residue in it and stopped working, so I needed a new one. I requested a digital one, so it would be easy to tune in and change channels. Little did I know that the radio included a weather station and you can also tune in local television stations. It has a clock on it and an alarm, if you choose to use it. I recommends not getting it hit directly with water (it's a shower radio, isn't it?), and I want it to last a while, so I take it in and out of the shower each time. It's hard to find a shower radio when you're looking for one, let alone a good one. This one is a winner!
