I have been looking for a shower radio that would give me more than a FM/AM radio that I had to use a dial and hope I got the right station. Spoil yourself with this product. You have digital tuning you can preset for each band, 2 FM bands, AM, TV, and Weather. The radio also comes with a countdown timer and an auto off function. If you are tired of spending $20 here and there on cheap no functionality shower radios, then now is the time to stop nickel and dimeing yourself - get the Sony ICF-S79V Weather Band Shower Radio. Even if you don't want a radio in the shower, buy it for those emergency situations when the power goes off.Customer Review: One of the most-used items in our house

My husband wakes up before I do, and with this great little radio in the shower he can listen to the radio without waking me up. As someone else remarked, the batteries seem to go on forever. I've had mine for at least 10 years and have also given them as gifts to very appreciative friends. The AM sound is just fine for hearing the news, but the FM is a little scratchy for certain stations where we live. We use it to hear the weather report and news, though, so it's great! The pre-sets are very handy. This is definitely one of the best things I've bought in my life in terms of using it and having it last. Sony ICF-S79V Shower Radio is the best shower radio that ever made. This Radio is far better than any of the Sharper Image shower CD/radios that I have own for the past few years. Its battery life is amazingly long, and the receptions are great even the signals from some distanced AM stations. TV station's reception is superb, but only limited to channels 2 to 13. The price is right for this type of product. I highly recommend this shower radio, you'll love it.
Update: As of November 16, 2007, the original batteries are still working strong for an average one to two hours' daily use. Not bad at all. Very pleased with it.

This is an amazing shower radio. I use it every day and it has always worked perfectly. It resists water well, has great sound quality, and gets great reception. I was amazed at the reception this radio gets. Sometimes the antenna doesn't pick up every channel, but the suction cup on the top of the antenna lets you move it anywhere very easily. The speaker goes very loud and it does not need to be turned up very loudly to hear it over the water. The clarity is also very good. The batteries also last an extremely long time. They will last months and months. This is an overall great product. Keep up the good work Sony!Customer Review: Love the TV band

We own 3 of these. The first one was purchased for me, one of my boys claimed it. The other asked for one for Christmas and then I bought the last for myself. They are great. I have had one for over 2 years with no problems. I especially like the TV band so I can listen to the news in the morning while applying make-up or getting dressed or ironing... This floats between my walk-in closet (where I iron), beside my jacuzzi tub and next to my vanity/sink...easy to move, easy to use... My kids leave theirs in the shower full-time...
This is a great gift for the person who has everything.
