I love this radio. I just wanted a basic, battery operated (this also has an electric cord) radio to listen to news, sports, weather and traffic while I'm getting ready for work. This is perfect! I only wanted a very simple small am/fm radio with no frills to take to work. The Sony turned out to be exactly the right fit. I didn't expect much for $20 but it really has great sound, easy to operate, the antennae is hardly needed due to the good reception. I think its a bargain, especially for a Sony. Just got this radio for my mother. I have two myself. The unit has great reception (it often picks up stations that my far more expensive Tivoli radio does not). My mother had a problem with a Radio Shack unit (the batteries kept dying), but she loves this radio. Nothing fancy, but definitely serves the purpose.Customer Review: great little radio

This is a great radio, I bought it for the beach. Recently we bought a boat and I was always bringing it along. I just purchased another so I could keep it in side the boat. I bought this as a Christmas gift for a friend who requested it to listen to ball games. She said it comes in perfectly, and the reception has been great out on her deck. It is lightweight, but kicks out quality sound. I would recommend it for anyone looking for this type of radio, SOny did not disappoint!
