Customer Review: Great looking design, even better Features and Sound

I purchased this from Walmart for $89 (plus tax) a few months ago - because it was more expensive on Amazon at the time. I would definitely buy another at this new price from Amazon $62.06 (no shipping or tax).
This unit is outstanding in almost every aspect, though it may be larger than you might expect. The sound quality is great for a nightstand clock radio. The volume is loud, but could be a little louder to really blast your music. The remote is tiny and very useful and has great range. The snooze button is large and in the right spot. I'm glad they fixed the old model design that let the iPhone protrude higher than the radio itself.
I purchased a case for my iPhone on Amazon around the same time. It is a "SwitchEasy Rebel" which comes with its own adapter that fits all iPhone docking stations (that support interchangeable adapters). I can place my iPhone in the radio with the case STILL on! My only mistake was buying the Clear/Ice colored case, because the adapter is white. I wish it was black like the radio, but it is worth a little mis-matched look. When this case wears out I will buy the same one in black.
The old model had a feature that supported the back of the iPhone when docked - this newer model does not. I purchased a set of six clear, rubber, stick-on feet from Walmart (about 1/4" square). One of these feet is stuck to the front of the radio (a few inches above the dock) and is the exact right thickness to support the iPhone. This becomes very important when you use the iPhone while it is docked, since you must apply pressure and this would tend to bend the male end of the iPhone connector over time (possible damaging the unit). The clear rubber makes the bumper not stand out too much. I have never needed to replace the bumper, but I have 5 extra just in case.
The display is bright, large, and easy to read. I cannot sleep with lights on, so being able to dim it to zero is perfect (there is high, low, and off). The buttons are large and intuitive and easy to operate by feel.
Be careful and practice with the alarm. I don't use it very often and it has not gone off every time I set it. This only happens when the iPhone is docked and I just do not have enough practice with the settings. I just use the alarm on the iPhone.
The main reason I bought this item was to use it as a "sound machine". I use the iPhone App called "Sleep Machine" to play white noise at night. It works well on just the phone, but is so much better with external speakers. However, I also use it to play my iTunes and the radio in my bedroom. The radio reception gets dicey when I move around the room - I guess somehow blocking the signal. Maybe it's just the remote, wooded area where I live??
My son has been drooling since I bought this unit, so I assume he will have one soon!
