Read a few reviews before purchasing. It's a leather soft cover and it will not protect from sand/dirt from entering, it's more for bangs, scratches and drops. Has a wrist leash so easy to carry if not carrying a purse. It's perfect for traveling with. I dont have to worry about scratching or the lens opening up. Only cons is that you will have to pull the cover off each time you have to charge the battery or pull photos off via cradle or memory stick, but I got over that real quickly... it's really not that bad. Has a small stylus with holder. Not disappointed at all.Customer Review: Perfect cover for Sony T700

It is not really a case but a cover. It attaches to the camera's tripod point. Very convenient in use and actually increases your grip on the tiny camera. However, it won't protect your camera from dirt.
The only downside is you have to detach the cover every time you have to download pictures on your PC and remove battery for charging (However, Sony should consider a cell-phone like charger for its new generation of cameras. Removing battery to recharge is a huge inconvenience.)

The main problem I had with this case is that it is one that you attach to the camera. The bottom of the case has a screw that you use to attach it to the camera where you would normally attach a tripod. I bought the camera for this case because of its size and I needed a case really to protect the touch screen. Since this case is made to attach to the camera permanently, it makes the camera much bulkier than I want. If I had known that this case was to be attached to the camera, I would not have bought it.
