Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony MDR-E828LP Fontopia Earbuds with Winding CaseCustomer Review: Wow! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought an earbud from Radio Shack for about the same price. It was just one earbud that fit in the ear canal. Although comfortable, the wire quickly came loose, which made it unusable. These Sony earbuds are not meant to fit in the ear canal and are not as comfortable to me, but everybody's ears are shaped differently, so I don't fault them for that.
They more than make up for falling out of my ears at times by great sound! The sound is so much better than my Gateway laptop puts out from its speakers that I now listen to my laptop with these earbuds even when I am alone. OK, it wouldn't take much to beat the crummy speakers on a Gateway laptop, but these clarify words I could not distinguish before and I can really hear that bass booming.
The winding case is helpful for keeping everything neat and safe. I have also tried using these earbuds in my TV, and it works fine, but I need an extension for that. A great value!
Customer Review: Always on top. Summary: 5 Stars
I've had these headphones for at least a year, and no matter how many earbud headphones I compare against them, they never come close to matching the sound quality. Not even apple comes close.
The bass and treble come through exceptionally well. It probably has to do with the magnet they have in there. The combination of price and technology is unmatched in the earbud category and the case is very useful for keeping them from getting damaged.
The only gripe I have with these, and many other headphones is the right angle jack that plugs into the device you'll be using them with. Only some of the in-ear types have straight jacks (say, for ipods, or remotes) and the rest don't. That's unfortunate really. They should all be straight and have a tiny adapter included to cover people with preferences.
All in all, these headphones are incredible. I love them day in and day out. What else can I say...they're Sony.
Customer Review: Its just as good as the hype! Summary: 5 Stars
Alright...
These were cheap... $7 here at the time I bought them. I read the reviews... all positive it seemed. I figured they couldn't be as good as all that but wanted some new earbuds.
They were MUCH better than my expectation.
For iPOD users, some reasons to consider these:
1. Price
2. Quality, great sound! Music has a much more full sound. Much better than the factory buds.
3. Increased volume. I get almost twice the volume from these.
4. Not the standard white cords/buds that tell every would be iPod snatcher what you've got on you.
5. Its just plain nice to have a second pair around. I use my iTrip a lot and easily misplace the earbuds. (However, I'll never use the old one when I can find these.)
For other portable audio, I imagine some of the same benefits.
I'm sure they are not the best on the market but for the size and price they are pretty amazing.
Customer Review: Was amazed as to how they fit and sound Summary: 5 Stars
I have odd ears and I've had trouble finding earbuds that fit snugly and sound well. Thus far, I've been stuck with the traditional ipod headphones, which work well, but when I started noticing one bud losing sound quality I figured I'd take a risk on these modest priced headphones. And since then I have been impressed. They fit as well if not better than the ipod headphones and have better sound quality and clarity.
If you are looking for a replacement for your earbuds and don't want to pay alot and/or in-ear ones, these are very nice.
Pros: Great snug fit, excellent clarity and bass, easy access volume control that blends in like normal headphones where the cord merges back to one piece, and the winding case actually isn't half bad, matches my black ipod
Cons: Wish it had an extra 6" of cord (not so much an issue for using it on a portable device but a distant computer headphone port)
Customer Review: Perfect Earbuds for the iPod Nano Summary: 5 Stars
I've been on the lookout for replacement earbuds for my nano and finally found these. I think they are just awesome and believe Apple should bundle these with their nano. For the price this is a steal.
With the right EQ setting on the nano, I just love these buds. Excellent Bass and with the 'Treble Booster' EQ setting in the iPod ON, these buds become perfect nearly.
Before getting these buds I bought Senn HD-202, Grado SR-60 and Koss KSC-75 and though all of these are really good for different kinds of music that I listen, none of them compliment my iPod Nano the way these buds too. With the Winding case, their style, their sound quality and an unbelivable price I think they are just the perfect buds for the nano. As for their comfort, I think they are well suited for people on the move and are as comfortable as the original apple buds.
Go get these and soon you'll be getting another pair.
