Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony MDR-E828LP Fontopia Earbuds with Winding Case

Customer Review: Amazing headphones for ridiculously low price
Summary: 5 Stars

I got these quite a while ago as a Christmas gift to replace my old, broken headphones. At the time, I had little experience with digital music and didn't really notice much special about these earbuds.

However, after buying an iPod nano recently and using Apple's provided earbuds, which subsequently fell apart, I returned to these and was stunned by the incredible sound quality. The bass in these tiny earbuds is very impressive compared to the Apple units, and in general the sound is very well balanced with all frequencies coming through with great clarity.

In addition, the design and construction of these headphones is very solid and durable. Best of all, they're less than 10 dollars!

If you're looking for a good pair of earbuds, BUY THESE. Great sound, solid construction, and the best price you'll find!

Customer Review: best phones for the price
Summary: 5 Stars

i came across these earphones when i was shpoping for some full size headphones (studio/DJ scale) with cups. a few reviewers claimed these phones are have better sound than upper scale sony earbuds...and i have to agree. i think these are a must buy for anyone. you cant wear full size headphones or sound cancelling phones everywhere you go, and the MDR E828 suit are versatile to say the least.

the wind up case is an added bonus...as well as the pads that come with it. the phones are a bit more comfortable with the pads on, but they are perfectly fine without them. they might even fit better without the pads depending on the size of your ears.

i got these earphones for 10 bucks, but as you can see on this site you can fine them for much cheaper. its COMPLETELY worth it.

Customer Review: VERY Cost effective!
Summary: 5 Stars

For the $7-$12 these cost, they are most definitely worth the buy!
When I first got these, I listened to them only in the car and found the bass unsatisfying even with the lower-end bass on my MP3 player cranked up. One day while sitting, I popped them in and WHOA! The bass was overwhelming and I had to actually turn it down a bit! My conclusion is that the open-air-ness of these reduces the bass sometimes.
They are very very lightweight and I'd highly recommend these for travel, but not as a replacement to a stereophone.
The winding case is extremely useful, but I wish there was a small clip going up the cord to shorten/lengthen the line, as in some other earbud headphones.
Once again, very very good buy for the sooo cheap price!

Customer Review: Durable, reliable, good sound quality
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the second pair of these that I've had and both are great. I'm probably not what you would consider an audiophile, but I do enjoy my share of good music and these little guys are terrific. I wear them virtually the entire time I'm at work (8+ hours a day) and they are fantastically comfortable. I don't use the little foam covers that came with them since they have a tendency to fall off and get lost anyway (in my experience) but they are still easy on the ears. The sound is surprisingly good for the price point and everything seems to be faithfully reproduced (high, mid-tones, bass). I use these with my phone, various MP3 players, and my laptop at work and the sound is consistently of the highest quality.

Customer Review: The headphones for the average jogger
Summary: 5 Stars

Hello,

These headphones might not have the best sound quality but there life span is longer than a year even if you use them to jog. Unlike other headphones which break. Companies won't cover 'user based' damages such as the cord bumping up and down to to your movement or excess moisture from the small amount of sweat that might accumulate in your ear. But these headphones are actually durable!!! I don't even know how long they last because its been over 18 months and they work great!!! Definitely the best headphones for runners!

Durability (5/5) +18 Months

Comfortability (4/5) w/the soft covers and (2-3/5) w/o the covers.
