I am disabled and need headphones because of my weird schedules. I bought these, at least, 6 years ago. The foam covers are worn out from so much use. Even though they are "line of sight" I can go into my little bathroom, around a corner, and still pick up my program, showing they have plenty of power.
The original batteries are still in use. I put them back in their charger after each use and never had a problem with power. And they are so economical!
Mine are wired directly into my TV/DVD system and the base unit is setting on an upper shelf of the bookcase next to my system.
I don't find any problems with the band or anything else... They just work!

Have had this product about a month. Has worked flawlessly. Self-adjusting headband has worked fine. You have option of using rechargeable battery that comes with unit, or if it runs down (which hasn't been an issue yet), using alkaline AAs. Sound has been excellent with TV, though if the TV signal is very marginal, there can be noise. Haven't tried with music. Appreciate the power switch on the phones, so I don't have to put it back in charging unit every night. Also has volume control on phone, though you'll get cleaner sound using volume control on TV. Ear pads comfortable and I appreciate them not being type that wraps around ears, so I can here my cat getting into trouble, etc. Good product, especially for price.Customer Review: Great for the hard of hearing!

I bought these as a Christmas gift for my 84 yr old father in law. He struggles to hear the tv, unless he has the volume so loud that everyone else is being blasted away! But with the Sony headphones, he can now enjoy watching and hearing the tv without disturbing anyone else. He even watches during the wee hours when everyone else is asleep without disturbing anybody. You would think I had given him a pot of gold, as he is so pleased with them!
The only negative to them is the range, but he sits very close to the tv, so it's really not a problem for him. He has been using them for nearly 2 months now and is so very happy with their ease of use, quality of sound, and their lightweight. thanks!!

The family thinks that I am hard of hearing and need the volume of the TV at a too-loud setting. Now I use these and I can set the volume as high as I want and they are not offended.
As the directions say, the unit needs line-of-sight to the transmitter, so you cannot leave the room. They only work up to 45 degrees from the transmitter, which really is not much of an issue.
The auto recharge upon placement in the docking station is actually the best feature. A friend has another brand which requires a wire connection to the headset; these auto connect when placed into the transmitter base. And an indicator light turns on telling you that they are charging.
Great features, great price.

I have been using these headphones for about a month now. They have performed better than I expected. I use them at least eight hours a day, five days a week, listening to internet radio while at work. Clarity and range are more than adequate, as I tend to turn up the volume on the pc and turn down the volume on the headphones to reduce noise and extend battery life. I have found them to be lightweight and comfortable -- enough so that I don't have any problem using them for hours at a time while sitting at my desk. Battery life has not been a problem as an overnight charge easily lasts through a typical work day. Time will tell how well they hold up with almost daily use.
