Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony MDR-NC6 Noise Canceling HeadphonesCustomer Review: You will enjoy these headphonesl Summary: 5 Stars
I have the more expensive Sony in-ear design as well, and I like these more. My previous in-ear headphones kept slipping out, but they were more for size and fashion style. On the MDR-NC6 the bass, mid range, and treble is extremely clear, giving new life to my NetMD walkman. The earpad cushion felt comfortable during a 3 hour flight, and there is only one audio cord to deal with.
Engaging the NC circuit seems to also boost the bass frequencies, nicely done Sony. The NC circuit hiss someone mentioned is a moot issue if you are truly in a noisy environment: airplain, laundry room, hotel air conditioning, computer server room, etc.
Customer Review: these are great Summary: 5 Stars
these headphones are great! i am just like you, i spent hours looking at this product and reviews. i promise this is the truth-these headphones(for the price) are as good as the bose. my dad has the bose so i know. I think if you weigh the the pros and cons with these and the bose these would win this is why-
good about sony's
-great sound quality (especially with the noise cancelling switch on)
-cancels about 70 percent of noise
-on and off switch for noise cancelling
-only 40 dollars
bad about sony-
-doesnt cancel all sound though a lot
-fits tight on your ears
Customer Review: I simply love em Summary: 5 Stars
I've owned these headphones for about 2 years now and it was well worth the money. Yes, they squeeze on your ears a bit but that doesn't bother me much anymore. It quiets down eletronical noises, I found, so people talking and etc will not be quieted- but a roaring A/C or a car alarm will be hushed. They do everythig I want them to do-- and that's to make my music and etc sound clear and hush noises If neessary. The price is good too-- and they don't have the giant cushon-y nonsense other noise-cancelling headphones have. And hey, they're slimmer in design too. I like em-- and they're a keeper.
Customer Review: This is great! Summary: 5 Stars
These are the best headphones I have ever tried. These headphones have also had some tough competition against the original and best BOSE Quiet Comfort Headphones. I always listen to this when I am reading in bed at night. Great Bass and Treble. Good noise reduction.
Pros: Great Bass
Great Treble
Great Noise Reduction
Great Midrange Noise and Overall Sound Quality
Cheap
I know music. It is my life! Buy these!
Cons: Strap is too tight around head.
Don't wear for long periods- makes head hurt.
Customer Review: Not bad for the price Summary: 5 Stars
Initially the headphones sounded like crap (no bass and no high end, everything was washed out), but after 2-3 hours of use, the bass response was really good, i felt like my head was vibrating. the high end also became alot better. I guess these headphones required breaking in. the noise reduction works decently. there is a slight hiss when its on and when theres no audio. but the hiss is virtually gone when the music starts playing. I bought this for $25 on amazon so i didnt expect too much. But for $25, it sounds pretty good, comparable to some slightly more expensive headphones.
