Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony MDR-NC6 Noise Canceling HeadphonesCustomer Review: Very glad I purchased these! Summary: 5 Stars
I am so happy that I had these headphones on a recent international trip. I was completely stunned at how well they work. After shoving them in my carry-on and now my laptop bag (back and forth to the office) I can report they are in perfect shape. I think you would have to work hard to break them - if you are relatively kind to your electronics, don't be scared off by other reviews that say they break easily...
With the downturn in the economy - Bose wasn't an option. For a tenth of the price - I am glad I bought these!
Customer Review: Worth it. Summary: 5 Stars
I use this for inflight movies and noise elimination at work (need earplugs when around older equipment - required by noise level/work). We are upgrading to new systems - but until then, I need to protect my ears!!! Works great on the plane - quality of sound is great and your forget your on a plane with others. At work - I can have conversations without those annoying little foam plugs in my ears and still have my ears protected. I can listen to music or just cancel out the equipment noise. Worthwhile investment.
Customer Review: Great buy! Summary: 5 Stars
I tested this item at Sony store before purchasing it online. I am extremely happy and satisfied with this headphones. I use it alot when I'm at work (to avoid noise and hear personal conversation) and also when I am on public transportation. The sounds and especially the bass, which I like, are great. I cannot wait to use this when I'm on vacation (airplane). The only con: since it is new, my ears get sore (squished) after awhile but I think it will be ok if I continue to use it. I highly recommend this to everyone.
Customer Review: Perfect blend of sound, noise reduction and value! Summary: 5 Stars
I'm not saying these are comparable to the $299 Bose. However, for around 1/10 of the price, you get about 95% of the sonics and noise cancelling. Further, these are a reasonable size for storage and carrying. They fit nicely and comfortably and don't create "headphone fatigue".
I have a pair of Sharper Image noise cancelling headphones that cost nearly twice as much and sound worse.
So if you don't want to spend more than about $35 for noise cancelling headphones, these are the ticket!
Customer Review: Grateful ears! Summary: 5 Stars
I received these headphones as a present and they were wonderful to wear on a 13 hour trans-Pacific flight. I usually only keep headphones on for a couple of hours because of the discomfort and poor sound quality. This pair was cushioned enough to wear throughout the flight. The noise canceling feature was a pleasant surprise - I didn't realize how loud the engine roar was until I took them off. I would highly recommend these headphones for anyone who flies or would like a quiet space while traveling.
