Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony MDR-XD200 Stereo Headphones

Customer Review: good headphones!
Summary: 5 Stars

i bought headphones several months ago and i have really put them to the test. there really is no difference in sound between music and movie mode but i did notice that if you listen to your music on movie mode, the bass is more solid than if you use it on music mode. if you listen to music in a moderate volume, you can actually feel the bass and it feels great. i love headphones that can make you feel the bass. for the price i paid for, i have had more expensive headhones that can not do that. so these sony headphones can really rock with awesome bass. i know they are not the best sounding headphones and you might think that you get what you paid for, but the last time i had headphones like these, they cost me more than twice than these but they did not have the huge 40mm magnets and they were pioneer. what ever happened to them? for good sounding headphones, if you don't want to spend a million dollars, go with these. you will not be dissapointed.

Customer Review: Bang for your buck
Summary: 5 Stars

Look no further than the Sony MDR-XD200 Stereo Headphones. The sound quality is great and they are good to wear for hours fitting comfortably over your ears. I have a pair at home for my media PC and another at work. At home they let me crank up the sound without inflicting my eclectic music tastes on others and at work they help drown out my annoying coworkers and discourage them from interrupting me when I am overly busy.

PROS:
comfort
extra long cord (description says 3.3 ft but mine came with 11 ft)
sound quality
value

CONS:
None

You can definitely spend more on a set of headphones but after using these, you will not want to. So unless you have piles of cash that you are just going to burn in the fireplace if you don't spend it, get these. If you are on a budget and think these are too expensive, try to save up and you won't be disappointed.

Customer Review: Just got em - didn't know what I was missing on my PC
Summary: 5 Stars

Opened them up a 1/2 hour ago. Holy-moly Rockie! Good tunes from my PC? Its true!! Why didn't I throw those 1985 oldy-moldy Memorex things in the trash long ago? But no no nooooooo... I had to wait for them to physically break apart. Skin-flint moron.

It's true that my new Sony's are Big, over-the ear phones. Hey, I'm not making a fashion statement while in my bathrobe at midnight. But you know what? I don't hear the kid's TV or my wife's Pubic Radio in my ears while I'm groovin' to the latest download.

Light as a feather. Signal / noise ratio is excellent. I thought I had a cheap-ass audio card in my PC, but a I'm hearing a solid 200 - 18,000 kHz range in my 57 year old ears. Perhaps its not as good as my 20 - 36,000 Hz home theater, but its a massive improvement over what I was using.

Good tunes. Good comfort. Good price. Good work. Got 'er done.

Customer Review: Excellent for the money.

These Headphones are really nice! They look very stylish, and provide good sound quality for there price range. Of course they don't provide sound like other more expensive headphones but what do you really expect for twenty dollars. They are really big though, they remind me of the old school headphones, but because they are really big they are extremely comfortable. They exert no pressure what so ever on my large ears. They are also very light weight, so once again wearing them for long periods of time is really easy. The cord on these is very long something like 11.5 ft. This may be a problem for some, but I only wear these at home, so it's not really a problem. While these don't claim to be noise cancelling, I defiantly can't hear anything around me with the sound on low. The best thing about these are that they are only $20 dollars.

Customer Review: Great sound..... so comfy..... seller sells super service!
Summary: 5 Stars

We tried both the Sony MDR-XD 100 and Sony MDR-XD200. There was no comparison as the XD 200's sounded so much better ~ we bought two!

We listen to the original songs my wife wrote and the music sounds fantastic both from the electric Roland 700 keyboard and from her CD, "What in the world are we here for?" We just float away to the gorgeous sounds from the "ear surround sounds" of Sony!

Mahalo plenty for such a great sound system at such a great price. The nearly 11 foot cord/cable makes it comfortable to lay on the couch, listen and enjoy her music. Our seller delivered the two sets ~ shipping included ~ within a few days of ordering them and we live in Hawaii ~ which can often take longer to receive and cost more too. We love Amazon and the sellers who work with them. Thanks to all of you! Ellingsong
