Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony MDR-XD200 Stereo HeadphonesCustomer Review: Ample Comfort, Good Sound and Wow Price! Summary: 5 Stars
I was looking for a pair of good over ear headphones to take with me when I travel to listen to music as well as game with and these fit the bill. I was a bit skeptical since the price was only $20 bucks but I thought I might as well take the risk. If I didn't like it, my little brother would. When I first put them on my head I was really surprised at how light and comfortable they were. These things are kinda stocky and certainly don't look like they're sit softly on your head but they do. The sound quality is pretty good too! Good base, non-tinny highs. I liked it! It is definitely far better than you'd expect from a sub 50 dollar set of headphones. I was very satisfied with the cord length too since it's really long and I can get up and walk off to a corner of the room if I need to. I recommend this headset for easy listening!
Customer Review: Best for the Price Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these while trying out a bunch of different headphones. Since these were the cheapest I expected bad things but to my surprise they sounded just as good as the more expensive ones and were by far the most comfortable. The extra long cord can be annoying but also useful somtimes.
PROs
- Great Sound (especially for the price)
- Inexpensive
- Extreme Comfort (most comfortable I have ever owned)
- Noise Reducing (not noise canceling, but does a good job of muffling ambient noises)
- Long Cord (allows you to roam far away from audio source)
CONs
- Long Cord (too long in most situatations, extra cord easy to trip over)
- Music/Movie Switch (pointless really, can hardly notice the difference, gets anyoing when you switch it by accident tho)
Customer Review: A high end product in an affordable package. Summary: 5 Stars
I have been looking into many different brands and styles of cans, even the high end Sennheisers and AKGs. Well with that said, even with experience with other more expensive headphones, I can honestly say that I am completely satisfied with these cans. You get the sound clarity and bass, that may not be equal, but can compare to the higher end sound. Aside from being a great sounding headphone, they also are very comfortable. The light design and ergonomic ear area only contributes to the overall experience. I have been wearing these for extended periods of time without any problems, and sometimes they're so comfortable that I forget that they're on! To sum up, if you want a quality affodable package, go for these cans. But if you have the money, go for the higher end headphones.
Customer Review: Very nice headphones! Summary: 5 Stars
I am not a connoisseur of headphone sets. But I was concerned with finding something that looked like it would not be to small, was easily adjustable and not to fragile! So after some considerable searching here at Amazon and reading the reviews I chose these!
Out of the box I knew I picked the right set for myself. They fit very well, with plenty of room for ears and are very light in weight, which seems deceptive at first glace. The balance of stereo seems just fine to my untrained ears and I'm very pleased with this purchase.
Lastly the movie/music button seems to have no effect while listening to a CD or regular TV. I haven't tried a DVD yet, but the button is really of no concern to me whatsoever, as all I wanted in this headset I have.
Customer Review: The Sony MDR-xd 200's... really something to decide for the price! Summary: 5 Stars
Got my XD200's today... and i'm loving them!
Pros:
Great sound!
Easily comfortable.
LONG CORD (i'm an amateur dj who loves to move around)
Cons:
Ears start to sweat if worn for more than 2-3 hours... but a little rest and or removing them and rewearing them fixes this easily.
*may make sounds at first, make sure you set them properly on your ears so you don't hear squeaking sounds
* DOES NOT CANCEL SOUND...merely "muffles it". If set on a mid-high volume range... people around 4-5 feet can hear you. Medium volume... about 2 feet away from you.
Overall, check these out if you're looking for some sound quality worthy headphones and only have a budget to do so.
Lovin mah cans!
