These headphones exceeded all of my expectations. The bass, the treble, the highs and lows all come through clearly. I usually have a test I use on all of my new headphones and speakers, I call it "The Wound" Test. "The Wound" is a song by this group called Jazzyfatnastees (You should check out their album The Once and Future). It opens with this deep, low bass intro and has very soulful melody. If the headphones do a good job then they pass, these passed with flying colors. This was the best purchase I have made, for under $25, in awhile.Customer Review: Amazing Headphones!

These are the best headphones that I have ever experienced. The Sound Quality is amazing. The Bass is just right. Especially in Movie-mode, I enjoy my dubstep and the flow is almost like you're in a movie theater. They are extremely comfortable. The cushion fits any ear perfectly and it is soft too. The Loudness is on the meeker side. However, it is just enough.
The cord is insanely long. That maybe a problem. But, otherwise, these are a great pair of headphones for everyday use.

the quality for the dollar is excellent! Very well made! envelopes the entire ear, unless u got ellephant ears. The padding on both the ears & band across the head is very comfortable & so is the band tension, so u know they won't slip off if you bend your head down, move back & forth, etc.. Girls (some) may find them a little bulky around their beautiful, delicate heads, & not rate the comfort level as high for them, but that truly is the only negative I could come up with. The sound is very clear, crisp, pure to the ear & doesn't escape the phones that might bother somebody else in the room. I search for a while for a decent pair of moderately priced headphones. I came to these and I am glad I did. The sound is great and they fit nicely. The only issue I have is that they don't fold flat and they have a lot of plastic that appears that it might break easy but just got them and no signs of yet of this being a problem.
Also one suggestion to Sony and others. Make the cable changeable. What i mean is allo it to detach and include both a long cable and a short cable. This way you won't have a lot of excess cable when you only need a little.
Overall very very please.

I play and compose music for a hobby. I wanted a headphone that I could wear for a long time and not have it pinch my ears or leave a welt on the top of my head becasuse of some casting imprefection. I've had these headphones for a month and love them. I look forward to the night when I have an hour or two to work on my latest creation. They have a music and movie switch that seems to give you a nice variety of sound profiles. Whether I'm listening to classical, rock and roll or the TV/radio, I've been very pleased with these headphones. Oh yes...the price at Amazon is the best thing.
