Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sony MDRQ22LP Ear ClipCustomer Review: best portable headphones I've ever used Summary: 5 Stars
When I gave away my last set, I was surprised to find that I could no longer purchase them at my local store, which was fine by me -- amazon, including shipping, charged me less than the local store had.
The sound quality is not *great*, but it is very, very good. The headphones are spring loaded, rather than hard plastic, so they conform to your ear better (way comfortable, here), and not being bound to each other by a hard plastic band gives you the option of wearing one without the other.
As far as portable headphones go, I'll be irritated when Sony discontinues this product line, because it's everything I want in portable headphones: Good sound quality, extremely comfortable, and easy to only wear one if and when I need that ability.
Customer Review: Perfect fit! Summary: 5 Stars
I have never been able to use earbuds of any sort as they don't fit within my ear without causing a great deal of discomfort. A family member suggested this style, so I took a gamble and bought this brand. They are fantastic! The cord is more than long enough, the speakers are sensitive (though I'm not an audiophile, so...), and the way they hook around the ear is incredibly comfortable. I wear them whenever I'm excercising, and never have a problem with them becoming dislodged. My hair doesn't get tangled in the cord, either. It takes some getting used to the speakers looping behind the head (the right speaker is connected to the left via cord, as is the plug), but a very comfortable fit. Highly recommend a pair to anyone seeking alternatives to earbuds.
Customer Review: Value for money (well, almost) Summary: 5 Stars
I got these a few weeks ago after months of hunting around for the perfect pair. I thought the price was a little to steep at first but after testing it I thought this might just be worth it. I chose these because I've always found earphones annoying as they keep popping out of my ear. The sound quality is superb for this type of headphones. It's also light and the clip does not hurt my ear after long periods. The problem with them is that it takes a bit longer to put it on because you have to make sure the clip is securely fasten behind your ear or it will come off. The caps are a bit loose and come off when I keep them in the front pocket of my backpack. However, I find these problems a small price to pay for the excellent sound quality.
Customer Review: Love these Summary: 5 Stars
I had a pair of these headphone for years! I had to replace them when one side shorted out when I was caught walking in a torrential downpour. I bought a different brand a few months ago in a rush and they've already shorted out because I think the adapter part is straight and was bent from having been plugged into my iphone while it was in my pocket. I love that on these headphones, the adapter part is curved so I never had this problem. The other brand only lasted 3-4 months. Going back to my trusty sony earphones.I've been searching but haven't found a pair but it would be great if there were earphones like this (clip on to the ear) and had a remote for the ipod/iphone as well.

If you're into to music with heavy bass content and delight in driving vehicles with massive subwoofers, these are not the headphones for you. Then again the devices you normally use these in don't output alot of bass to begin with. So go get the can-style headphones.
For everyone else; hey, these are great. They do the job we need perfectly. Want to disguise the fact your using an iPod or need to hear the outside environment while listening to your tunes/fifth race at Haymarket, get these.
I got mine when my Nth set of Q33s bit the dust and have only noticed a slight drop in distant radio reception on my discman.
